"Bishop Conroy Memorial School served generations of Ogdensburg families as one of the city's primary Roman catholic elementary schools. Staffed by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, the 1-6 grade elementary school helped prepare children to attend nearby St. Mary's Academy high school (where the current fire station is located.) The two schools provided outstanding educations for young people and served as a place where families from all economic conditions were welcome."
