"I absolutely loved living at Alpha Mill! It's my favorite place I've lived by far in Charlotte (the mill specifically). The aesthetic was beautiful, the mill gave a very authentic feel and Daniel & Lacey were the best staff ever. They truly took time to get to know you and tend to all of your needs. Also, Terry was an amazing help for any maintenance issues. They are hands down the best people to entrust the living community with. I may even move back one day. Please enjoy. I highly recommend!"
"I called Alpha Mill home for the entire time I lived in Charlotte and it has been bitter sweet to say goodbye. The central location made it easy to get everywhere I needed, the staff at the leasing office has been eager to help when problems arose, and the friendliness of my neighbors has left me with life-long friends. I am thankful for finding such a great place to live, sight-unseen when I moved in - I truly lucked out!"
"It’s very nice, I like how even tho sometimes the gates don’t work that we are gated so no randos can come in. The residents and property managers are very kind I always felt welcomed no one was ever rude. The amenities all work and are in great condition and the dog park is so fun for my doggo he loves it. I also love that the office takes care of maintenance requests promptly and make sure to contact you. The app is also helpful. Only problem is the shortage of parking spots but thats common in a lot of apartments and when my car was towed everyone took appropriate action and were still wonderful with our situation. And the location is great we’re right next to a lot of things"
"Living at Alpha Mill the past year has been amazing. Everything from the location, apartment style/layout, staff and residents are all great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an apartment in the area, especially if you have a dog!"
"I lived at Alpha Mill for 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed my time living there. If I still lived in Charlotte, I would live there. I was a bit apprehensive to move in due to a change in management and the fact that there were negative reviews on Google-- hence why I'm leaving a very honest review now. I opted for one of the “older” buildings (cheapest rent option) but really loved it. The layout was good, the view of Uptown from the porch/windows was KILLER, and I rarely heard my neighbors/ traffic in the building. The older buildings are slowly being updated. The amenities won me over: great clubhouse for entertaining large amounts of guests (which I did quite a few times), nice pool area, double gyms, dog parks, package locker, 2 patios to soak in Uptown views—which were recently renovated (bummed that I only had a month to enjoy before moving!), valet trash, and quick access to Uptown! 7th street market is only 5 blocks away and the light-rail recently opened up quick access to more of Charlotte. I’m really going to miss it! There are a few things to be aware of but are not deal breakers, IMO: - The gates are broken probably once a month due to people ramming them or not following directions (Ex: moving trucks can’t come through single entrance gates). Management is usually quick to fix this though. There are several entrances so you would never be trapped. - Parking is a bit competitive. If you come back late at night, you’ll more than likely have to park outside the gates, on the streets… but there is ample street parking. Still annoying at times. - The elevators in the older buildings are slow and break occasionally. They need to be updated, but I was still very grateful to have an elevator and not climb 4 stories every single day. - My car was hit by the gate once, but it was my own fault because I drove up the middle. Be cautious when entering and exiting. - Yes, there are homeless people around the area but they are kind and mind their own business—I hope all future residents give them that same courtesy! Lastly, the management is very good. If you follow the rules and are a good resident, you won’t have a problem with management. It’s that simple. I want to give a special shout out to Angie who is always friendly and makes you feel like her main priority. In summary, if you want to live somewhere fun with great amenities, that's affordable and accessible to central Charlotte, live here!"
