"It would be great if the people who lived here actually took care of where they live, the trash area is disgusting, people hang out in the parking lot all night drinking smoking and fighting basically all weekend. Neighbors blast music through the walls with big speakers so it vibrates the walls, this place just sucks to live in unless you absolutely have no other option. We’ve told management but either they just don’t care or they don’t know how to handle it. (EDIT) The washing machines and dryers here almost NEVER work, I guess the people who own it can’t afford new washing machines?? Please save your money and move somewhere else instead of here… this place sucks the management does absolutely nothing to help"
"I have been living at these premises for over 6 years. I am particularly impressed with the new property manager's (Ms. Holloman) professional and solutions-oriented manner. She strives to ensure that tenants use the facilities in a safe and sanitary manner at all times, as per the terms of the lease and does not hesitate to issue notices and gentle reminders to this end. There have been notable upgrades to the carpark, laundry room, electrical wiring and general upkeep of the premises under her watch. Hats off to Ms.Holloman!!!"
"I just moved to Gastonia from Ny and I have been having a real hard time adjusting. Being a single mother of four is hard but trying to find a suitable place that’s affordable is even harder. Park at Cross Creek was definitely the stepping stone that I needed to get me and my kids on the right path I love my neighbors, my house and the Property Manager Whitley is Phenomenal. She worked with me to get me moved in on time and has been calling to check in periodically to see how me and my family adjusted. I would definitely rate her work ethic, professionalism, compassion at 10stars. Thanks Whitley for all that you do..."
"The office personnel have clearly never been trained in customer service. I went to inquire about renting and I received a basic run down on requirements in less than 5 minutes. The lady seemed to not want to be bothered or was obviously upset about something else already. I wasn’t shown an apartment and the response I got for the questions I asked were simply shoulder shrugs. The apartments seemed ok but the lady in the front office definitely isn’t the right representation for the community."
"This happened months ago however I ran into the manager yesterday at a nail salon in Charlotte and it reminded of the experience I shared with her at Park at Cross Creek. She tried not to make eye contact w/ me however I made sure to say hello and be respectful as mature responsible adults should do. -The apartment I was shown did not match what is being shown online. -The paint job of the apt they were going to put me in was very sloppily done. -Behind the jacks were traces of roaches. Of course the manager told me that it wasn't and they would paint over it and make sure it was taken care of. I lived in the slums of the Bronx for most of my life, I know what traces of roaches look like. -I requested my deposit back prior to moving in b/c I changed my mind after viewing the actual apartment they were going to move me in to (totally opposite of the apt they have for showing). I was told by the manager I would not be allowed to get it back. I asked to see a copy of the form I signed that stated that. FYI to anyone out there, you are allowed to have a copy of anything you sign and unless you sign a document stating clearly you will not receive your deposit back then you are allowed to get it back prior to moving in. The manager refused. I could have been anyone (a detective, a lawyer, etc) You don't say things like that to customers. -It appears the manager is very put together; shoes, clothes, hair, and nails, however the professionalism in how situations are handled are out of line. Comes across as money hungry and inconsiderate. It appears they only give you smiles and positivity when they are getting your money. -Hope this review helps, not out to bash anyone just sharing my experience. Good luck and happy living! I think when they realized the type of individual they were dealing with is when they eventually decided to mail my deposit. Initially they refused."
