The Winnifred Apartments

"I was a resident at The Winnifred for over 2 years, experiencing multiple issues with leasing staff and ownership of the building. Do not waste your time and money living here. They lease out open apartments on VRBO which has resulted in safety issues where the police have been called. The elevator has been broken multiple times for months on end. Upon moving out, the elevator was yet again broken. There was no leasing staff available and I received multiple parking tickets while loading my belongings into the moving truck. There is not a sufficient loading area and with the elevator being broken, we had no choice but to park on the first floor of the garage. Leasing staff were helpful but strung us along for months, saying they would speak to ownership to cover the cost of the parking tickets since there was quite literally no other place to park the moving truck. "Ownership" came back saying they would not cover the cost. The leasing staff and building ownership do not care about loyal tenants. There are many other awful things I could go in to detail about - but the moral of the story is these apartments are tiny and overpriced with poor leasing staff and ownership."

"Okay so…..I’ve been living at the Winnifred for two weeks now and honestly I was a little worried because I signed the lease without actually viewing the apartment or the building. However, Sarah White from the leasing office made it so simple and easy. I move around a lot and this was by far the less stressed I’ve ever been. The location is great, next to many restaurants and private gyms. As well as right next to the rail for those who work downtown. Excited for my first year at the Winnifred and can’t wait for all the exciting resident events that Sarah and Mariah put together for the building!"

"If you’re thinking about moving here, please do!! It’s not only aesthetically pleasing on the outside but it has been a good experience for me from the moment we moved in. Nicole and leasing staff and ensures everything is up to date and have great monthly events for residents. Even down to the maintenance staff, Javonte is super efficient, and reliable. Not only is he prompt in addressing any concerns, but even helped with minor issues - Imagine being locked out on a Friday night and having to call a locksmith?? Nope. No need. This has been a great experience so far and their level of attentiveness and dedication was remarkable."

"The Winnifred has great apartments in the South End of Charlotte. The location is near breweries like the Charlotte Beer Garden and restaurants like North Italia, both are great! I love the view from the Sky Lounge, where you can see the city. Even the staff are super friendly and the apartments are so modern! I love that the Winnifred is now home!"

"Lauryn has been outstanding from touring to all my questions the past 10 months. Plus the dogs love her. The monthly events are so sweet and welcoming. The maintenance guy (I will not add his name due to privacy; however his dog, Shadow, is awesome) is outstanding and helpful with all my requests. The retail shops are perfect and I heard there will be more soon."
