"First timers and will be back! Food was delicious and our waitress Tonya made it even better. Best variety of burgers we've seen in a long time. You HAVE to try the loaded salt potatoes!! Order short draft during Happy Hour and get a tall or dbl shot for the price of one!"
"The third time here was not a charm. If we were in a hurry, I would have walked out even though we'd already placed our order. It took nearly 45 minutes from the time we ordered to the time or good was brought to us. The waiter that was not ours checked in on us more than our waitress. As to the good itself. The chicken was dry and had no flavor beyond the little char that was on it. The sausage was burned and dry (hard to do with sausage!). The brisket was tender and most but had no smoke flavor at all. The beans and tots were fine. I really have no intention of returning here. Unfortunate as we do prefer locally owned restaurants..."
"The food is very tasty. Enjoyed. Nice local restaurant for out of towners."
"Four-star rating, but I firmly believe this place has five-star potential, so we'll be back. We even joined their little frequent-eaters VIP club, or whatever they call it :) First time here, wife and I came around 9 pm on a Saturday night. Place wasn't too busy, and they had closed off a couple of areas and were seating what customers there were in one part of the restaurant. It was a little bit noisy - people, overhead music - but not intolerably so. It's probably more a sign of my no longer being a 20- or 30- something with mild hearing loss that I found it annoying. Our server was good, very attentive, quick on her feet, awesome with refills, chatty in a friendly-not-obnoxious way, and seemed to go about her business confidently and surely. The kitchen was REALLY slow getting our food out, but she kept us apprised and refilled, which is really all she could do. The menu is excellent, and I'll have to go back many more times to try all the burgers and poutines I want to try, but we ordered relatively light, since it was a 9 pm dinner. Wife had the fish taco and the blackened shrimp taco. Fish taco was brilliant, but the kitchen screwed up the shrimp taco - she had asked for no mango salsa, but they also a.) left off the cilantro lime crema, and b.) the "slaw" was actually just plain (dry) green cabbage, so her taco came with shrimp and dry cabbage - no lube. Meh. But we told the waitress and she took it off the check (we didn't ask her to, and my wife still ate it, so I thought that was a good and appropriate response.) Tacos $6 each, not too bad at all. I had the Rochester Wrap, which is a jalapeno/cheddar wrap stuffed with chicken and chopped romaine with a spicy ranch sauce. It wasn't exciting, but I didn't order it for the excitement factor; it was really tasty though. I got a side of baked beans with it/ As you can see in the pic, the color is kind of weird, but that's because they don't load their beans up with bottled BBQ sauces or ketchup like most places do. They had kind of a tangy flavor - they were pretty good. My entree + side came in at just under $13, not too bad at all. Place is local, super close to us, so we'll be back, because we see potential. Super A++++++ kudos for having a FULLY ILLUSTRATED ONLINE MENU. EVERY ITEM."
"Bull and Bear for me is like old reliable nowadays. Long time consumer of Bull and Bear food and likely forever going back. Appetizers are always great. Dinner is delicious with a good selection of burgers, wraps, and salads. And they have a lot of sides to choose from and we've never been disappointed. Everything remains fairly priced and they have been transparent about pandemic pricing and challenges. Staff has always been kind and courteous with service being prompt. The atmosphere is chill, they have a bar inside and outdoor seating options weather permitting. Update, ordered more food, outcome, still amazing! The fry character is a fantastic shareable! The seasonal turkey burger was tantalizing. And my wife was able to get a lettuce wrap version of the California burger which as always was amazing! Go eat here it's great! And Enjoy!!!"
