"Stayed at 1650 Oceanfront Penthouse - Amazing Views!! Lifted my spirits everyday - waking up to sunrise. Yes, building is old and furnishings are outdated. Will definitely return, close to boardwalk, state park and Market Commons."

"If there were negative star ratings, I would give it 5 stars. DO NOT stay Compass Cove Hotel Compass Cove Vacation Rentals compass cove oceanfront resort!! Black mold, holes in walls, ceiling crumbling, filthy rooms. Police had to be called on the SECURITY GUARDS!!! Management openly says they do not care. They refuse to return phone calls, refuse to change rooms, over charging and refusing to refund. It is incredibly unsafe- 3 separate occasions, maintenance men WALKED IN! No notice, no knocking- just walked right in. Absolutely disgusting. I was also told I would be removed from the “resort” following a call to the front desk asking to have a package brought to my room, as I have been very sick and didn’t want to infect anyone."

"Three stars for the location, many many water attractions, and resort bracelet also serving as room key. Minus two stars because of soiled linens!!!!!! The line for checking in was literally out the door, even with having a full staff. There is only one "front desk" for entire resort so if you need anything (like clean linens), you have to walk to main office building."

"We stayed at Compass Cove at the Pinnacle building. 9th floor. corner suite. ocean front. pros: Ocean front view was great. Close to beach and beautiful view. Amenities like heated outdoor pool, restaurant, tiki hut, Star Bucks, and store were convenient. Life Guards on beach rent out chairs and umbrellas. Always towels at pools. Able to check bags at check-in counter if room isn't ready. Go for the ocean front rooms if you choose to stay. Cons: Building is older. Room needed a deep clean. Gross bloody pillow was left on the bed, shower dirty, food bits here and there, spilled sticky soda all over side of night stand right by pillows, stained sheet. No towels, dish soap, extra tp when checked in. Several calls and finally received towels next morning. Warned of theft in rooms by guest and staff when arrived. (Small safe available). Shuttle service unavailable. (We were reimbursed for taxi.) People near us were allowed to smoke on balcony, smoke overpowered us. Elevators took forever. We weren't called when room was ready for check-in, like we were told. If the room was clean, we could have overlooked every other frustration. The obviously bloody pillow and dirty night stand were unacceptable. no way housekeeping missed that. Easy to throw out the pillow... didn't even attempt to put the pillow case on to cover the stain. Stain was bright so pillow not even washed. just gross."

"Staff was very nice and polite. Room was very disappointing. Stain on the carpet in the bedrooms, stain on the sofa. Filthy trash, dust behind the pull out bed and foul odor behind the pull out bed."
