"The Most Beautiful Rental We have Ever Had! The owner was so kind and responded quickly to any text that we sent while staying there! Will be returning!"
"Sent an email asking for help after a not-so-good experience, no reply, so you can all read below about their luxury rentals: The property pictures online probably need to be updated, or the property does: • The wallpaper is peeling off the bathroom walls in every bathroom • The faucets on both sinks in the kitchen leak unless you jiggle the handles just right so you don’t have to listen to the water torture of them dripping constantly. • The sheets in the bedroom on the third floor in the SW corner had holes in them, like so that you could see the stained mattress pad underneath. • The mattress pad on the room on the third floor in the northeast corner had stains on it, but no holes in the sheets so we slept on the stain all weekend. • The railing for the stairs up to the third floor shakes like a leaf when you actually try to use it as a railing, good luck with that. • The stairwell from the first floor to the main locked entrance door is full of spider webs and bugs, so is the creepy room with all the spider-covered pool toys in it. I felt like Willie in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when she is in the bug-filled cave trying to save Indy and Short Round. The pool toy room was like that scene in the barn from Arachnophobia when the mother spider comes out and screams, horrific. We used no pool toys. • The microwave has no power to it, we checked the plug and breaker and they all looked OK. But then I actually opened the microwave and it was so disgusting inside that I know college-aged men who would not microwave their ramen in that thing. • The screen for the main sliding door to the second level deck was ripped fully on two of four sides and flapped in the wind totally useless. • That same huge sliding door needs some grease, it takes a normal adult two hands and a full lunge to open and close, so we left it open half the time. Old people and children would be trapped like steerage passengers in the Titanic if they had to escape quick. • The grill looks like it has been used for a year or so by people who have no idea how to use or clean a grill. Burners don’t work, the grills were disgusting and it looks like it is melting the siding on the house behind it. • The paint is peeling on most every outside surface of the house that wasn’t vinyl or metal, like this place needs a power wash and a new paintjob ASAP • Paying extra for the pool heaters when we paid almost $4,000 for three nights is so insane I could do a whole paragraph on it. They advertise a heated pool and then say you have to pay extra to actually have a heated pool in the fine print. And then they have the nerve to say we will be charged for our entire reservation when we can’t check in until 4pm the first day and have to leave by 10am the last day, that’s an ENTIRE day we miss of using the magical heated pool due to their own rules but that they still want to charge for. Then the pool heater wasn’t even working on the last full day we had there, so we missed pool time almost all day. The guy came to fix it when we called but the pool sure doesn’t heat up quick enough to use it by the afternoon when it wasn’t heating overnight. • The dryer was full of towels when we got there, and the dishwashers were full of dishes. I did not expect to pay $4,000 to do chores as soon as I got off the airplane. • Someone left a giant paper towel bag of trash next to the front steps to greet us when we arrived, so scenic. Long story long, this place looks like one house in the pictures, and like a bad Cinderella, it turns the house that gets rented every weekend for a year with no time for repairs in real life. We are incredibly disappointed in our stay and will not be renting again."
