"Going to this CVS used to be such a positive experience. I actually loved it. It was on my way for a couple years but was then very out of my way but I continued going there. The pharmacy staff were always wonderful, efficient, and kind and really did a great job making sure things were ready on time. Now the pharmacy staff are overworked and underpaid and it shows. My NP sent a prescription in one week ago today (sent July 28). CVS came back and said my insurance was requiring a pre-authorization. My NP provided the documentation for that and it was approved two days later on a Sunday. CVS’ app never changed from saying they had contacted my doctor and it could take a few days. Yesterday evening, I contacted my NP to verify that the prior auth had been sent and she provided me with a screenshot of its approval on July 30. This morning (August 4) at about 9:40AM, I called my CVS to ask what was happening. They didn’t offer any explanation and assured me my Rx would be filled this afternoon. The status in the app finally changed to “in process” and remained that. At about 3:00pm I still hadn’t heard from them and the status hadn’t changed, so I called corporate. It took me calling corporate for the pharmacy to tell me that they didn’t have enough of my medication. Because it’s a controlled substance and they didn’t have enough of it, they told me I would have to “lose the rest of my prescription” which i assume means I would have paid the full copay for the few they had then would have had to pay cash for the rest of my prescription- which costs several hundred dollars without insurance. They told me they have it on order but it didn’t have enough in stock. I asked if they hadn’t had it since July 30 when my pre authorization went through and was told “around then, yeah.” They did not tell me ANY of this this morning. They waited until after 3pm on a Friday afternoon when I had no guarantee of being able to contact my NP in time to fill the Rx somewhere else today. I told them they needed to find me a CVS nearby that had enough and the closest one they could find was over thirty minutes from my house. Thankfully, because my NP is AWESOME, she was able to send the Rx there. The people at CVS at 2001 Spartanburg Highway in Hendersonville were delightful. Like I remember this CVS used to be. Now the customer service is atrocious. The one exception is Grace, who is very clearly always trying her best. I’ll be going to a different pharmacy tomorrow to request to transfer all of my medications. 0/10 do not recommend CVS at 1080 Hendersonville Rd in Asheville, NC."
"Wow- this place is really an experience. The pharmacy techs are soooooo careful to do everything exactly right. It seems like this is not due to any satisfaction taken from a job well done, but rather to insulate themselves from any repercussions of doing their work with the most surly possible demeanors. The front of the store staff are congenial and terrific to interact with. I don't know if this attitude in the pharmacy is coming from the top, but someone needs to take note and inform these people that a little kindness will make their day a whole lot better too. As it stands, I leave the store with a really sour taste EVERY time I interact with the Rx staff. Ick."
"Unnecessary, unhelpful, and unkind. Pharmacy techs here are extremely rude. I simply asked one tech about the price of a 3 month supply of medication I was picking up. The one month supply cost has varied from $60-$120 in the past. I wouldn't have asked had the cost been consistent. Another tech, who I was not speaking to behind the counter rolled her eyes and said "It's 3 times as much as a 1 month supply." I won't be utilizing this pharmacy in the future."
"Had 50/50 positive and negative experiences here. Several of the rotating pharmacists are phenomenal. Some are quite rude though! Yesterday, the pharmacy tech just opened the window and stared at me until I said my name. Quite odd. I know pharmacy employees deal with a lot during the day, but I definitely think some of the employees could improve their customer service."
"My first experience at this location. Grace of the pharmacy was incredibly efficient. I witnessed her with some difficult customers ahead of me and was able to rise above and complete the transaction with all parties provided for. Thanks Grace and pharmacy team. Your the bees knees."
