"For nine days my mother has been in greenville memorial, the doctors and nurses have been wonderful fully informing us of her progress and her procedures. But today she was moved and for the first time a nurse refused to give my husband any information on her physical therapy. When I asked my mother, what happened she just told me that this nurse Marketa had a chip on her shoulder and was mean. I put a picture of my mom so you can see why we ask questions and need information. We are her advocates and we are her family. thank you for all the wonderful kind Doctors and nurses that have understanding for sensitive situations!"
"I’m giving a one start review because I am so disgusted by the way me and my family were treated by a less than professional female “security guard” on the night of December 28. We were harassed by said woman in the hospital room of my mother who had just had a heart attack. After speaking with her supervisor at the room he agreed that she had no reason to harass us and that we had in fact followed the hospital rules by not allowing our 15 year old to visit the room. He stayed on the ground floor with his grandfather where we were instructed by the women at the reception desk was allowed for children 15 and under. Following our visit we headed for the front door to exit. On the way out I said to the woman at the front desk and the joke of a security guard- “y’all have a good night.” To which the security guard responded “we will now that you are gone”. I returned to the desk and asked to see her supervisor - where she called me and my family members (who were my children by the way) names and mocked us while waiting for her supervisor. When I told her that I didn’t want to speak to her but I would tell her supervisor everything she said - she said “go ahead, it’s not like he will believe you over me”. The supervisor was nice and apologetic however he assured me that her actions were not acceptable and that I would hear from someone the following day. I never received a phone call, so I went to the hospital systems link for comments and concerns. After filling out the questionnaire I requested a call back - that was Friday afternoon and still no response. Obviously they do not take this seriously. How could they allow such a hateful person to stand at the front of a hospital? My mother could have died for all she knew but she didn’t care. She was mean and rude to me, my husband and my children. Not to mention upsetting my mother who was there because of a heat attack! The people visiting the hospital are emotionally and physically exhausted, stressed and often brokenhearted. This woman has no business being employed in any such place that should require kindness. “Security” is suppose to make you feel safe and welcomed- not upset and more stressed than you were. I’m not letting this go…"
"Well hubby didn't feel good, so we went to get checked out, they checked bs, ekg, blood work. We got back home a 1030, the fastest ever. The ER is so very nice, security, also clean. Good efficient drs, an staff was great!"
"This is not my normal foodie review BUT, kudos to Prisma Health Upstate, Greenville Memorial Campus, for the little things. My daughter had surgery there recently. While awaiting the procedure in her holding room, dressed in her lovely paper gown, she complained about being cold. She expected the nurse to bring a heated blanket to cover her. But instead, the nurse extended a hose from a device hanging behind her bed and connected it to an opening in her gown that blew warm air through the hose into her paper gown which was also a part of the warming system. To her surprise and mine, she was warmed her up quickly and completely. And she smiled! There was also a handheld device to control the heat. The name of the device was “Bair Paws.” Nice! Thanks, Prisma Health Upstate, for making her hospital visit a little less daunting!"
