"Went for the first time today after trying to get there for so long, and it did not disappoint! After speaking with the super helpful, Jamie, We had apps and an entree; both were excellent. Great conversation with the people making it all happen there! Highly recommend to the people in the area for a bite with quick and prompt service and food!"
"After reading some questionable reviews from Facebook, I wanted to try this place for myself as I am a huge fan of Puerto Rican food and culture. I am so pleased I did. I’m not sure if folks here just aren’t fans of rich, amazing flavors, or what but as someone who has enjoyed authentic PR/Dominican food most of their life I have to say, this is some of the best I’ve had from a restaurant setting. I ordered the pernil with arroz con gandules to go, and enjoyed a beverage at their bar while I waited (which was not long!). Service is quick, personable, and fantastic. You may recognize one of their newer bartenders if you dine in the area often, Coach. He’s the sweetest. I could not be happier with my experience and can’t wait to return to dine in and try their guisado."
"Awesome Puerto Rican cuisine. Proprietor Andy is awesome - friendly helpful and takes care of you. The food is incredible. Lots of space on the patio, and room inside. Liquor permit coming soon."
"Finally found this little hidden gem! Our waitress Jamie was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed everything about this place!! The empanadas were delicious as an appetizer, the Pernil is perfectly marinated and roasted and the pork chop melted in your mouth. The tres leche dessert was homemade so we shared a piece to top off our meal. Fabulous and we will definitely be back!"
"FINALLY some Puertorican cuisine locally!! The wife (who was born on the island) & I made the visit here & loved it! Flavor was great!! And they even had pasteles, which is a rarity in general. The folks there working were really nice. I see so much potential for this group & I really hope they make it. The place was very clean & bathroom (unisex) was adequate & clean. I think it was a little bit pricey & I could go into details on that but I fully understand the pressures of trying to make a business like this successful, in this area. I fully see us making 2 to 3 trips a month here. Crossing my fingers that they can make it happen as I’ve seen at least two good Puerto Rican restaurants not make it in this area (Wilmington to Myrtle Beach) due to, what I think is, lack of support."
