"My friend and I had the Puerto Rican Lasagna special, a Ham & Cheese Empanada and a BBQ Pork Sandwich. Food wasn't seasoned very well -- I've heard for years about the flavorful dishes Puerto Ricans serve... but it was ok. Women at counter were hospitable and welcoming. But we had a man dwell at our table and at first he was a panhandler..panhandle... but he was an employee. I'll give it another try sometime and update this review if it's a better experience."
"Love Love puerto rican cuisine. My favorite is the el jibarito. So I was super excited to find this place. The flavors were great, but I was disappointed that the el jibarito was on bread and not fried plantains. The papa was very tasty, but wish they would add au jus to add more moisture. They also have a meat stuffed plantain. So good. The pastries are delicious. Pros: Price, super friendly staff, good food Cons: Location, limited seating, el jibarito isn't on plantains"
"Delicious!! Muy delicioso!!! On the way to the Smokey’s we stopped for lunch. Only a mile or so from the highway and absolutely worth the detour. We had the - tripleta sandwich - empanadas - pastelo (pork with rice and beans) - mofango with chicken stew - maduros - tostones - guava & cheese pastries Everything was delicious!!! Additionally, Wilma is wonderful and a delight to talk with. This will be a stop any time we are traveling this way!!!"
"We were SO lucky to have discovered this wonderful restaurant filled with the friendliest people. The food was absolute home cooked perfection! This taste of Puerto Rico always leaves me wanting more. Such a variety of PR staples to choose from such as Mofongo and Pork + Rice/beans. This family owned restaurant puts so much love and hard work into all their dishes- and it couldn’t be more apparent. Will always stop by here!"
"You need to bring your appetite! Everything was outstanding and authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Experience the hospitality of this little hole in the wall and walk out with new friends!"
