"In a word this hotel is fantastic! Rooms large enough for two adults (NYC hotel room s are notorious for being tiny)..clean..outstanding front desk and one of the nicest lobbies giving a sense of serenity. Highly recommended!"

"My stay, personally, was fine, but my rating is based on overall concerning instances with hotel employees. I went for work with coworkers, and one coworker came back after dinner to discover an employee lounging in their room watching TV. When we left, we were discussing ordering an Uber, and an employee suggested we take a car "service" of someone they claimed was frequently used by guests (could be true), when we got to the airport, they couldn't remember their password to their payment app, the driver asked to take a picture of the credit card and would enter the information later, we said we would wait, and the driver continued to push the request to just take a picture of the credit card."

"Overall satisfied with our stay. The room was clean, service was excellent, we had a few requests over the week-stay (requested towels one day, an extra blanket another, etc). All request were taken care of, essentially, immediately. I called guest services a few times with questions, they were all answered immediately, and with the correct information. The room could have been a tad bigger for the price we were paying, but staying right on Time Square in NYC - all things considered, our room was huge in comparison to other others in the same area. Big for NYC standards, OK size for regular standards - still not small by any means. The furniture and amenities were all fine, Nothing to complain about. The premises were all good as well. Clean and good. Overall great stay, staff was friendly and kind. Things were clean and kept up. I would definitely re-visit."

"Our four night stay was wonderful at Sofitel! The rooms were comfortable, lovely, and clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, and the breakfasts at Gaby Brasserie were always something to look forward to in the morning! I regret that I don’t know the names of our waiters, but they were all so attentive and caring. I work nearby, so it’s wonderful to know of such a nice place to come by for a quick breakfast and coffee! The doormen and front desk were so friendly, conversational, and helpful with luggage. I truly appreciated being greeted so warmly, and it was lovely to have some conversation with the staff. I’d love to come back soon!"

"The staff was both professional and personable. I enjoyed the small conversation and being greeted with a genuine smile. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of our magnificent city. I live on Long Island and chose to stay here to make a “Christmas in NYC” experience, just a little easier with a toddler. Everyone was just lovely towards my daughter and very accommodating! Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was delicious and the staff was very kind towards my daughter, allowing her to feel welcomed and act well behaved. We will return! Many thanks to everyone for this wonderful experience!"
