Atlas Kitchen
About the Business
Atlas Kitchen is a new contemporary Chinese restaurant located on the Upper West Side of New York City. Inspired by the Chinese classic text "The Classics of Mountains and Seas," the restaurant offers a unique dining experience that combines traditional Chinese flavors with a modern twist.
The restaurant is named after the ancient text, which explores mythical figures and geography in great detail. Just like the book, Atlas Kitchen aims to take diners on a culinary journey through the diverse regions of China.
Renowned Chinese artist Qiu Anxiong, known for his innovative use of video animation and Chinese ink painting, has inspired the restaurant's concept. His work, The New Classic of Mountains and Seas, captures the essence of ancient Chinese culture while incorporating modern elements.
Atlas Kitchen is open seven days a week, serving lunch and dinner. Whether you're in the mood for traditional Chinese dishes or modern interpretations, Atlas Kitchen has something for everyone. Come and experience the magic of Chinese cuisine at 258 West 109th Street in New York City.

Reviews
"On the outside you won't give it a second look but once you step in, the culinary pleasure begins, a large menu with plenty to choose from, all we ordered was delightful"
"Overall, mild-taste Chinese food suitable for people who prefer lightly taste-Chinese food. Not as spicy and salty comparing to the authentic style. I enjoyed the Mapo tofu and the Dumplings but not the sweet-sour chicken (too sweet and too much batter)"
"The most authentic Chinese food on Upper West Side!!! Little bit of greasy and salty are the signs of authenticity!!! Ordered slow fried ribbon fish (was a bit skinny this time but the flavor was good.), cauliflower with meat to share with my vegan husband, and this is his absolute favorite dish! Spicy and garlicky, but very tasty and good with white rice. Yang Chow fried rice is a must for me, generous amount of shipping, ham with eggs!! I live 40 blocks away from the restaurant, but this is my go to Chinese when I order online! Give a try if you haven’t!! Everything’s very good!!! (and little salty)"
"First visit and like all the dishes we ordered. Especially the crispy pork in sweet sour sauce is my favourite! These dishes were not just pretty but also delicious with quite a big portion. Will definitely come again to try the others~ the restaurant decor is modern and chic, good for instagram."
"Cozy place for family/friends dinner. Well-served all dishes. We ordered crispy chicken with red chili peppers; braised fish fillet with Chinese sauerkraut and stir-fried cabbage."
