"I’m like the only non Asian person in this restaurant. Total neighborhood / local vibe. Everyone (staff and customers) speaking Mandarin Chinese. Food is super tasty. Love this spot! Made me feel I was back in Asia."
"I enjoyed the food immensely! It tasted fresh and flavorful. I am blown away. The dumplings were made to order and I am assuming The General Tso’s chicken as well as The Chicken and Broccoli was prepared similarly. As far as the service, top notch. Attentive and fast. What more can you ask for? I felt a bit crammed at the table but made the best of it. The food and service covered up all the minor issues I had. Whether take out or dine in, I guarantee you will enjoy yourself. I will be visiting again. Eat well my friends"
"Generally I would recommend for those who long for Northeastern Chinese food, as those dishes are really tasty and authentic. A must-try is the pork in sweet and sour sauce. Good place for a large party as you could try more dishes."
"Manhattan doesn't really have many authentic Northern Chinese food places as most of them are Szechuan or Hunan or Cantonese cuisines. I ordered from ZLS Bbq and also this place multiple times and they are both good places to go when I'm craving for Northern Chinese cuisine. Generous portion, okay price, can't comment on dining environment or services as I always have delivery from them. Recommend their steamed dumplings. Updated on Oct 2022: tried several dishes during dine in - liked the sweet and sour crispy pork chop (锅包肉) and it's really nice especially it's fresh out of the kitchen. Recommend getting this at the restaurant instead of deliveries as it'll get soggy. Note that you can get it either traditional (light colored, white vinegar based, no ketchup) or modern (ketchup added, looks like organ chicken). Braised pork bones are very tasty and generous portion. Service is friendly and more attentive than most of the Chinese restaurants."
