"Came here on a Friday night. It was packaged by the time we arrived at 5:30, got to take advantage of the happy hour. The cocktails were all so tasty and creative, the chicken wings were huge and crispy, the crab fried rice was so much flavor but my favorite was the steamed fish! The soup/sauce was citrusy with some cilantro (loved it but don’t have the pic) I could t stop having the sauce with the rice! I believe the bones were removed before served. Everything was delicious!"
"Got a reservation for dinner on a weeknight here. You must try the coconut crab curry and the crab fried rice. Both dishes were excellent and lived up to the hype. I was a bit disappointed that they were out of Diet Coke but the server was awesome. The raw shrimp appetizer was ok (probably wouldn’t try again)."
"Got lucky with NYC’s Restaurant Week and snagged a meal at Fish Cheeks without breaking the bank. What a fantastic experience! Kicked off with their Som Tam salad – but plot twist, it’s made with corn instead of papaya. Trust me, it works, maybe even better, and boy, was it spicy. Then came the main event: the Crab Curry. Just wow. Super tasty and packs a serious spicy punch. It comes with a bit of rice, perfect if you’re into the hot stuff. Dessert? Not totally my thing, it was some kind of ice cream on rice. Not a fan of sweet rice, but hey, it didn’t dampen my spirits. The whole meal was a steal at $45 for three courses in such a cool spot. If you get the chance, definitely check it out."
"I’ll be dreaming about the crab fried rice for forever, it actually might be that sauce that they give you with it but whatever it is, I’ve been thinking about it nonstop. Mouth salivating right now as we speak. Outstanding food, vibrant and cozy vibes. Although food is a little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth every penny."
"Awesome experience at fish cheeks! Coconut crab was out of this world— had insane flavor and spice. Service was also amazing, they even gave us blankets because we were sat near the entrance. Portions were generous, had enough to take home and have a second lunch. Def will be back"
