1005 Grove Apartments

"I have lived here for over a year and love it. It’s a great location for students, and I often can get to my classes in less than 5 minutes. There are also lots of nearby green and outdoor spaces and the amount of windows and sunshine that comes into my apartment can’t be beat. Olivia is super helpful and awesome!"

"I don't know how this got 5/5 stars. First of all, I was interested in this property, I reached out to this property via calls (five calls to be exact), many many texts, and two rounds of chats with the robo-bot. You would think a place with an availability would want someones money. I could only get in touch with whoever would text ONCE every other to two days, or the robot-chat twice which was limited to automated comments. No one returned my phone calls, nor my voicemails. Then, I finally get in touch with two residents and see the apartment and it must be 5/5 stars because of location but I would rate this whole place 0 stars. One current resident told me that if I consider this place, to know that I will have to expect bugs and RODENTS. OMG what!? I'd have to take that into consideration?! OMG no way. The other said if window units are okay, I could manage. I would personally rate this place 0/0 stars. I give management 0 stars for NEVER getting back to me, I would rate who ever runs this building 0 stars because what I saw was mortifying. It looked like the doors were scratched up and beaten as if they've never retouched or painted this place since 1930, the hallway is absolutely terrifying and dark and creepy, and do not get me started on the sketchy laundry room. I get it's $1,000 a month on VCU campus with utilities included, but this was the most terrifying location I saw on my journey to Richmond. The outside may be beautiful but the inside is not."

"This is my second year living here and I love it! It's definitely worth the price for a one bedroom because it's so close to campus. It's in the middle of academic buildings so I always felt safe walking home at night. The building is always kept up to date; windows were replaced earlier this year. Maintenance is very quick about responding, every call I've made has always been fixed in 24 hours. There is parking available out front and it's sometimes a bit of a struggle to find a spot but there's plenty of parking for zone 1 a little further down Grove. Pet friendly and accommodating. Grab an apartment here if you get the chance!"

"We first rented at 1005 Grove Ave as a lease takeover from a graduating senior as it was the only way to get into the building in Jan 2018. Having a one bedroom one bath in a secure building on the VCU campus is a real find! Nothing like rolling out of bed and walking to class in less than 5 minutes! Last year the building was updated with all new windows which for the Fan area is a big upgrade! This year we are moving into a corner unit which is slightly bigger with a great view. Landmark Property, especially Kim, has been responsive to our needs and has been supportive with us changing apartments without it being a hassle!"

"Love living here! Super close to campus and to activities downtown. Maintenance issues are always resolved quickly and efficiently and they’re very kind. Kim is amazing and easily accessible which I always appreciate. She is also kind enough to reach out to me and check on how I’m doing and liking the apartment. If anyone needs a nice place to live near campus or simply close to downtown I highly recommend this property!"
