Colonial Village at West End

"**Update.** My lease is up for renewal and I have been getting phone calls, emails and now a white flag on my door like I haven’t paid my rent from Jordan Ganz trying to get me to renew my lease. I got the renewal email back in December and know the info is also available in the resident portal. I know when my lease ends and when I need to respond by. This is not my first lease. I don’t hear from management when I actually had issues that needed to be resolved but now my lease is up for renewal, they won’t stop calling me to the point that I have to block their number and email. They are relentless. I’ve lived at a lot of places but this is the 1st place that hounds you to the ends of the earth trying to renew your lease. They don’t give you time for you to make your decision. Maintenance has been prompt in servicing requests. However, on the last request I submitted, I selected they do not have permission to enter. When he knocked and called out and I did not answer, he attempted to enter my apartment. The air filter should’ve been left outside instead. If I was available, I would’ve answered the door. I heard the knocking and the call out but I was unavailable. Also, I asked Holly to ask the neighbors in my building to stop slamming their doors back in March. It has been a problem ever since I moved in at the end of January. It took me having to follow up on her email a week later for her to finally take action. Overall, it took her 4 months to finally do something. This seems to be a common problem with all the Colonial Village apartments. Maintenance is better at doing their jobs than management. I have to say even after the flyer went up, the problem has not gotten any better, only worse. It’s bad enough that I have to sleep with ear plugs every night but have to deal with people always slamming their doors is ridiculous. I’m glad everyone else living here is having such wonderful experiences and have courteous neighbors. I will not recommend this or any of the Colonial Village apartments to anyone. The walls/floors are thin and the apartments/appliances are outdated. Management don’t want to do their jobs when the time comes. The only plus is the location."

"The complex and apartments are nice. The staff is responsive. MAAC connect is trash. It's mandatory Comcast service as an additional charge on top of monthly rent. It's more expensive than what the services I need would be normally. I've had repeated bad experiences getting problems resolved while living here. These may be issues I have with Comcast, but the apartment complex does not give me an option so I consider it their fault."

"I just moved into Colonial Village at West End. The move-in process wasn’t too bad, there were quite a bit of fees associated with moving in which is par for the course when it comes to MAA properties regardless of quality.(looking at you MAA Connect) The apartment itself isn’t too bad, I mean you get what you pay for and for the next year it’s home, so I can’t complain too much. Jordan Ganz was my agent and was nothing less than perfect from beginning to end, he made the process go by quickly and I applied, approved, and moved in within 2 days. Efficiency at its best."

"We love living here at Colonial Village at West End! We have a great fitness center that is always available. The pool is beautiful and very well maintained. We were friends with Holly before we ever met her! She is a gift…she remembers my birthday and sent me Kringle when I was sick! The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, they are always there to answer questions, help and share a smile! The activities are creative and endless. The staff really embraces the Love of family and community with every thoughtful event. If there is a problem the crew is on the spot to fix and maintain your home."

"My spouse and I have lived at colonial village at west end for 2 years now. Everyone is nice and go out of their way to help with any issue. The two maintenance men Chris and Fred are amazing. They always smile and speak when passing, ask if we need anything or just how is your day? If a maintenance issue arises we have never had to wait long and once contacted they show up with a smile. They get the job done and are always pleasant. Colonial village is lucky to have them."
