"I had quite the horrible experience with Breckenridge Apartments. From the get-go, maintenance constantly tried to come into my apartment unannounced. Which I thought all apartments had to give you at least 24 hours notice before they come in??? At the time, I was a single female working night shift, and the amount of times I woke up to the sound of someone trying to get into my apartment was completely terrifying. Then, the people above me were absolutely terrible. Their children were constantly stomping and screaming to the point of shaking my walls, scaring my cats, and waking me up at night. I emailed the leasing office three separate times until something was finally done about it. They also constantly let their dog go off leash and I had to hold my dog back when I was walking my dog. Eventually I decided to sublease my apartment because the noise above me got so bad. I was told I had to pay three thousand dollars to break my lease or I could find someone to take it over. I was so happy when I finally found a subleaser. However, Breckenridge never gave me any direction on how to move out so when I gave the keys to the new resident the day I told them I was moving out they freaked out and called me several times while I was working, even though I explained to them three weeks prior who was moving in and when. Then, ten days after I moved out, they try to hit me with a $750 sublease fee. The manager calls and makes me aware of it for the first time and threatens to send me to collections, someone who paid their rent on time every single month. They tried to intimidate me when they were the ones that dropped the ball. The worst part is, when I reached out to GSC, they never called me back. I called four times trying to get a call back and they never did. Evetually I just agreed to relinquish my $300 security deposit (under the threat of them taking legal action) and let it go. A truly awful experience. Would not recommend living here."
"Nice apartments, reasonable prices but the leasing staff doesn’t know how to do their job. The mail area is constantly trashed. I’m afraid someone will steal my mail with it looking the way it does! I have been moved in over a month and nobody has come to do my inspection to check if my fire alarms work, change my HVAC filter and check my water heater. It concerns me how they don’t take care of us. Overall, the place is nice. No loud neighbors or anything. The maintenance guys are nice. UPDATE: My mailbox was broken into. I came home from work one day and found my mailbox wide open and the lock broken. New people have been moving in recently and we did have a few incidents where there was loud music. At 3 am a few months back there was a loud brawl in the parking lot out front of my building. Our washer broke as well! The ONLY person up in the leasing office who knows how to HANDLE anything is Stacey Vega. She is a sweetheart and knows her stuff. Don’t let the others fool you."
"I toured Breckenridge today and worked with Makara and the was wonderful. She really knew her stuff about the community I saw a one bedroom apartment and the newly renovations were great. I feel like the renovations that were done are really nice. Makara answered all my questions. I feel this community would be great for anyone. Considering making Breckenridge my new home. Update - I will be a future resident and I am looking forward to it. will update again after I move in. UPDATE 07/26/23 - I will be moving in to Breckenridge in September and I am looking forward to it. The whole leasing staff has made the moving process so easy. I am not a resident yet but I will be on the future. Thanks to all in the leasing office you have been great and kudos to you all!"
"Have stayed here for about a year. Apartments are renovated and up to date. Area is always clean. Good location and nearby grocery and many restaurants as well as easy to get on I-64 or I-295. Today needed maintenance because our deadbolt lock broke (manufacturer defect) and maintenance (GSC maintenance) was there within 10 minutes and drilled out the old lock and replaced it. Very helpful!"
"Going through the move-in process and have to give a shout-out to Clay! I came into the office a couple weeks ago super bummed about a situation with a different apartment complex that’s under the same property management. Clay was on top of it, he made sure I could get my application transferred over to Breckenridge and completed right away. What took the other complex 4 weeks to complete, Clay got done for me in 3 days! He answered all my questions, called me with daily updates and answered emails super quick! Four stars because I haven’t moved in yet, just praising the customer service so far! Moving in at the end of the month and will update once I have a better feel of the complex and apartment itself. Update: I’ve been here a little over a month now and have had nothing but positive experiences so far! Any issues (nothing concerning) that I’ve brought to the office’s attention have been taken care of same day, if not next business day the latest. Maintenance is very helpful and friendly! Overall the community has great appeal."
