Innslake Place Apartments

"Please, whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE. I lived here for the past 3 years, and thing started great! But, in this time, the complex has been sold between 3 different companies, and things have only gotten worse. 1. You cannot contact the leasing office. They are rarely staffed in person, will not answer the phones, and do not respond to emails. I had a noise complaint to file due to paper thin walls, and they never gave a genuine response to anything. Then, when I was trying to move out, I could not get in contact with anyone to drop off my keys or do a move-out inspection. Don't be fooled if they come off friendly when you tour. As soon as they lock in the sale, you're dead to them. 2. The building construction is shoddy at best. My window was cracked when I moved in, and after replacing the glass, it cracked again in the same spot since the fit was too tight. Every single drywall seam has cracked within the apartment. There are no lights in the living room. The balconies were deemed unsafe and had child locks installed to prevent us from opening the balcony doors. Cabinets and floors are cheap, and my bathroom door could not close when I moved in (I was the first resident in this unit, so it was not a case of wear and tear). 3. Insane price increases. Roughly $300 extra per month in a single year, with very short notice. 4. Common space carpets and walls are filthy. 5. Sub-par gym compared to similar buildings (Really not a huge concern, however, as it is at least free and in good condition). 6. Constant fire alarms. To be fair, I am not sure if this is common with apartment buildings, but you will often have alarms go off late at night for seemingly no reason. 7. When I first moved in, they let us get our own internet, and I was able to get a cheap and reliable XFinity plan. Then, the next year, they announced this "great new feature" where the building would purchase bulk internet and we could pay through rent. It was a mandatory change, and I got the same internet service...at a higher rate. 8. Trash collection. Everyone lives fairly close to a trash room, so I wanted to be able to take my own trash out. But, you are required to sign up for a trash valet service. However, bags end up being left in the hallway, sometimes all day, so the halls constantly reek. DO NOT get a unit bordering a trash room. 9. Had my car robbed in the garage, and I was not the first resident this happened to. However, there are no cameras, so nothing was ever done. 10. When I was moving in, the complex was celebrating how big the garage was, and how great this was for residents. Then, within the first year, they announced "actually, we share the garage with the nearby office buildings. Sorry. We'll mark off their reserved spots". These reserved spots make up likely over 50% of the garage (rough estimate). 11. Confusing management. When I was signing a rent renewal, the amounts listed in an offer email and via the resident portal were different. Always double check everything you receive, and make sure to document all of it. 12. Lack of events. I do not really care if a complex hosts a bunch of resident events. But, if this is something you look forward to, such as barbecues, movie nights, etc., then look elsewhere. When I was touring, the leasing agent was raving about all the monthly plans for residents (admittedly she was from the previous ownership company, so things may be different now). Since then, we have had probably about 6 events that I can remember over the past ~2.5 years. Typically, they consist of free coffee or some stale doughnuts that picked up from Walmart. Didn't make any difference to me, but just be mindful if they mention this during a tour or on the website."

"Do not move here. When i first moved in back in 2020 living here was great. Now, 3 property managers later it is absolutely horrible. Worst apartment and not worth the money. Inside of the apartment is nice and modern however that’s the only plus. Walls are PAPER thin, you can literally hear everything your neighbor does. And management could care less about your concerns. Hard to get anyone on the phone when you call the rental office and no one ever calls you back. Quiet hours do not exist. There are a lot of young kids just hanging out around the building and you don’t know who lives here and who doesn’t. Residents leave trash in the hallway for days when trash fairies do not come, instead of taking it to the trash shoot. Claims to be a non smoking community however the building reeks of strong smoke. Parking is a nightmare. Not enough spaces in building one to park your car. If you come home after 7pm there will be no where to park. The upkeep of building one (the building without the rental office) is horrible. It seems all the care and attention is focused on building two. Definitely not a luxury apartment community by any means. Cannot wait to move out. I do not recommend living here."

"if you have a concern or maintenance emergency, be prepared to call 911/Fire Department or any other governing authority instead of reaching out to management or Pegasus. They do not answer any phone calls and if you have flooding from your upstairs neighbors, like I did, they are not able to assist. Genuinely do not move here. It is overpriced, the walls are made out of paper. you can literally hear people using the bathroom next door, thats how bad it is. go to Metropolis apts instead, its up the street and nicer than this place and they also have free parking with a lot of space."

"they never pick up the phone. the phone number on their google contacts and their website goes nowhere. the sliding balcony doors DO NOT OPEN all the way. they placed permanent child locks on the doors that prevent the doors opening more than 4 inches. Its claustrophobic and a huge red flag that they leased this place out to renters with balconies not up to code to stand/live on and then suddenly restrict access to balconies. there is absolutely no parking. and if you do find uncovered parking (which you pay 50/month extra for) there is broken glass and broken liquor bottles everywhere. do not walk your dogs in the parking lots."

"Jordan, Karen, and Tyrell are phenomenal to work with. Not only are they welcoming to residents and future residents, they are all around good people. I love living here. I have not had any issues or any worries about my safety either!"
