"Beach Pros Realty are the slumlords of Virginia Beach. House was NOT as advertised. While the pictures online were of the actual property, they must be 10+ years old as the house was extremely rundown and in disrepair. The house was not very clean either and the pool was absolutely FILTHY. Beach Pros does not seem to care about customer service as the guest directory says nothing will be done for customer dissatisfaction. When I called the office to speak with a manager, the person on the phone said she would have someone call me back but nobody ever did. For the prices they charge, you can definitely find better. While I will return to Sandbridge in the future, I will not be renting any property managed by Beach Pros and anyone thinking about renting from them should definitely reconsider."
"If Beach Pros Realty is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of their rental properties, and this house stands as an example of their work, they are doing a slipshod job of it. We stayed at the Quarters Sea, a spacious property at a great location in Sandbridge. The property was for sale and listed as being under contract, which may explain why the house was in great need of repair. The front storm door greeted us as unusable, swinging in the wind, missing a closer, unable to close or lock. Several interior floor tiles were cracked, moldings were damaged, paint was peeling, blinds were broken, sliding doors did not lock--a bedroom exterior sliding door was secured with a plastic bag--furniture was broken--the back of a living room sofa was fractured--and appliances were barely functioning. Only half the slots of two toasters worked. Plastic drawers and shelving in the refrigerator were broken--duct tape on a door shelf gave way--and the ice and water dispensers didn't dispense. While Beach Pros may be at a disadvantage regarding the condition of the house due to its pending sale or the owner's negligence--though Beach Pros did not hesitate to charge a hefty weekly rental fee--there is no excuse for the poor maintenance. Lights were missing bulbs, carpeting was matted and discolored, closets had no hangers. The outdoor pool, while large and inviting, was lined with sand at the bottom. The surrounding pool area was littered with dry leaves, dead plants, seeds, and general debris which gave evidence of not having been cleaned or maintained in months. Three vinyl pool chairs were broken, tiles leading the pool's kitchen area were cracked and uneven. Worst of all was a number of metal studs, like large screw heads, in the surrounding concrete which protruded as much as a half inch. They were dangerous. Then there was the nest of broken garden hoses, and a cheap BBQ grille with a broken rack and an empty propane tank. All of these issues were addressed by phone to a Beach Pros clerk who was cordial and seemed to be taking notes. She assured us that we would get a return phone call. One never came. All of which is a shame, because Quarters Sea is a great location, is spacious with several bedrooms, adjoining baths, and comfortable beds, and has outdoor decks with great views of the ocean. To be in general disrepair and suffer from poor maintenance is a shame. Even for less than the princely sum asked for a weekly rental, we cannot recommend the house. And Beach Pros has some explaining to do."
"My family and I love Sandbridge and always rent from Beach Pros. However, based on my most recent experience we will not be renting from Beach Pros again for the following reasons: 1. I called a week before our arrival to ask about their cleaning process and to request an early check-in. In response to these questions, I got cussed out by a Beach Pros staff member. 2. According to Beach Pros, the house was subjected to a "deep clean". However, this place was disgusting. I had to clean this entire house before I was comfortable letting my family in. Similar to some of the feedback in other Google reviews, Beach Pros was quick to blame me for the state of the house. According to them, the house was dirty because they let me check in early and weren't able to clean the house well enough. They had 2 full days between the prior tenant and me to clean this house. 3. Beach Pros and/or the owner has neglected to do basic maintenance of this house (Salty Dog). For example, tiles were not attached to the floor and the screens had huge holes in them. 4. False Advertising. According to the Beach Pros website, the house we rented had free weights and an elliptical. However, this equipment was not in the house. After cleaning the entire house and my daughter hurting herself with the screens and floor tiles, I requested to check-out early for a refund on the unused nights. They refused and offered to send someone over to clean the house and do some maintenance, which I declined because I already cleaned the house. I tried to talk to the general manager, but she never called me back. I also reached out to the owner (twice) and she never called me back, either."
"First time booking a vacation with Beach Pros Realty and had a great experience! They did communicating all aspects of our rental...really aware some touch having someone take our garbage cans to the curb! The property we rented was well maintained and we hope to stay here again! Thank you to all for making our trip memorable in a positive way!"
"I’ll preface this with; “I hate to write bad reviews” and normally, if it’s borderline I would rather write no review at all instead of a bad one. Additionally, if something was not right I like to give the management a chance to make it right. But try as I may they were very unresponsive. So here goes: First and foremost the pool is closed but it is advertised (even after I pointed it out) as open and available for use. I ask for compensation and was told all of the units had been reduced by 10% because things were not available – though that is not anywhere on the website either. Overall “Sunset Corner” is a “contractor grade” condominium with some very nice décor but it is in serious need of routine maintenance. Examples: -The closet in the front bedroom that had the HVAC panel removed, blocking the dresser, and the clothes hanger/shelf torn down. -The siding on the balcony that was so dirty we were afraid to let the grandkids play out there. -The garbage disposal shakes the whole sink. -The shower door that falls off. I’m glad that happened to me instead of my wife! -The "change once a month" air filter that hasn't been changed in 6 months."
