"We had an excellent first stay ever at this wonderful hotel. We stayed in the Rowland Suite, which was impeccably clean and spacious. There was nothing more that we could ask for in a hotel room. The staff was kind and welcoming. We greatly enjoyed the convenience of a great restaurant just one floor below. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Our family had a quick trip into Salem for our son to visit Roanoke College and stayed at Rowland Hotel. Our experience was exceptional and the location was perfectly central. This boutique hotel is what experienced travelers value most...stylish, upscale (w/o attitude), impeccably clean, etc. However, the staff was the real difference. We were fortunate to meet the GM (Tara) who personalized our stay with local recommendations, Roanoke College insight, and just general awesomeness.
