"We stayed in the Garden Suite. It was lovely. Large sitting room with a gas fireplace that made it toasty. Large bedroom. Large bathroom. Nice decor and lots of old fixtures to reinforce the fact that the building is over 200 years old. The hosts were very gracious. The breakfast was delicious! Walking distance to the Waterwheel Restaurant and the Jefferson Pools."

"The stay in the Garden Suite is to DIE FOR! Matt, the husband of the couple who operates this lovely B&B, is a gem. Personally cooked a wonderful breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. The porch off the suite facing the lawn garden is stunning with the water rushing in the background. I woke up every morning and sat out there, listened to the water with fresh coffee and enjoyed the songs of the birds. I got what I came for. Tranquility."

"I am more than delighted to discover that Anderson Cottage is still in business, and even better, that it's still in the family. My young son and I stayed with your grandmother about 27 years ago, and it was such a balm to my soul during a very stressful period in my life. The atmosphere, the history, her family stories, her relaxed manner and the beautiful, rambling old house full of her inherited antiques, all combined to give us one of the most enduring happy times in our lives. We stayed in the room with the exposed timber wall which reveals the fact that it was originally a two story log cabin. Wow! So cool. Everything was so clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the sign she had by the basket of towels in the hallway requesting that guests please use those instead of the best bath towels if we planned to carry them out to the hot springs creek that meanders through the back yard. She was getting a bit tired of fetching her best towels from the creek where they were often left. Breakfast was great. We sat around a big table and she cooked and served and clearly enjoyed her guests. She was fascinating to talk to. We hated to leave, and in fact I returned a couple of years later with the rest of my family even though the timing was such that we couldn't stay overnight. They had heard so much about it that they wanted to at least see it. Your grandmother was on vacation in Hong Kong, but she sent a lovely note when she returned. I have often wished I could stay there again, but I figured I'd lost the opportunity. I will definitely book a return now that I see that it's possible. It sounds like you're keeping things just the way she would like. I wish you all the best and congratulations on your new baby!"

"I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Anderson. The owners (Matt and Alma) were so accommodating, warm, and wonderful. Everything was clean and cozy. The included breakfast was delicious! The location was close to a ton of awesome hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and creeks (there was a warm Creek right on the property too!). Overall, it was a perfect experience thanks to my stay at this lovely B&B."
