"Beautiful place, scenery and grounds. Cabins could use a good cleaning and updating. The window units have black mold and the drain in the cabin kept coming back up in the shower."

"Husband and I stayed for a valentine's weekend. The grounds were beautiful! Scenery was breathtaking and it was so quiet, love that. A dinner was served at the dinning hall and everything was so delicious. We stayed at the Astor house and the room was so beautiful and so clean. There was no wifi or TV in the rooms but it was perfect, especially if you want to get away. Highly recommend staying here!"

"My wife and I stayed the night here for Valentine's day and had dinner at the Dining Hall with Densons Farm to Table and it was exceptional in every sense of the word. The staff was diligent to make sure the room was prepared properly since we arrived early. The amenities were above and beyond, the cleanliness of the room was stellar! I'd highly recommend a stay here, we stayed in the Astor House but from what I've seen they all look lovely. We toured the grounds and had an excellent night's rest. No TV in the room but that's a good thing now a days anyway."

"We thought breakfast was going to be served there, but that wasn't the case. There was no TV in the room. Lovely room with comfortable bed though. We drove 10 minutes away and had a wonderful breakfast at the Art of Coffee."

"We booked a one bedroom cabin for a weekend get-away. It was rustic but it had everything we needed and was quite comfortable. Our first full day there it poured rain and stormed all day and we were stuck in the cabin... No television and no WiFi. We ended up watching Netflix with a signal through the cell. Just bring a book or be prepared to entertain yourself depending on the weather. The main house, out buildings, and grounds were beautiful and the staff we encountered were absolutely wonderful. The dining room was closed during our stay but there are restaurants in nearby Montross and you can pick up supplies and prepare food in the cabin's kitchen. Ours had a stove, microwave, mini-fridge and dishes etc... We enjoyed fossil hunting at the beach and found some nice sharks teeth and other fossils. We would go again and I would recommend it as well. Wonderful get-away!"
