"I am so grateful for this hotel. Was in portsmouth helping my parent with medical appointments and transition into assisted living. He was staying there, long term, while he waited for a room in assisted living. He has parkinson's and has a lot of mobility challenges. The staff were so incredibly kind and helpful to all of us. And it's a really zero-hassle experience (no lines at the front desk). Hedy who manages the free breakfast is so wonderful - creates a real sense of warmth. I am a germaphobe, and i did not get a bad feeling at all - the bedding was very well cleaned, etc. it was clean. Katrina and the other night-clerk (didn't get her name) were both so helpful, as were the manager and the day clerk on my check-out day. Grateful also that it's so affordable in a very nice area (olde town is so lovely). Thank you Quality Inn!"

"I Checked in then went to visit mom mother in an assisted living facility. Came back the same evening, took a shower was ready for bed then my daughter looked on the side of the mattress and totally freaked out. A red stain was there from the headboard to the foot board that looked like someone bleed out and died in that bed. I called the front desk and told the clerk. We took pictures to show her. She then gave us another room on another floor and we thought the trauma was over but not. There was a red stain, looked like blood on the floor by the window and actual red blood on the cover. We then left the room with our luggage went downstairs to the clerk and showed her pictures. We told her that we could not stay there and wanted to speak to the manager. She said the manager would be in the next day. I checked out the same evening that I checked in. It was very late around 11:00pm. Thank God I was able to find another hotel to stay at. I called the next day a the manager was not there. I called the day after an spoke to a manager but she said I could not get a refund because she did not have access to the computer. I called several days later and no manager was available. I was charged for the entire weekend. I never received my money back and the manager never returned my call. I will never stay there again. Beware of that hotel."

"I am from out of state and work reserved this room for two weeks. That is the ONLY REASON that I am here. The front desk staff are very kind and amazing, and the housekeeping, on the other hand, is BEYOND WORTHLESS!!!!!!!!!! I have had to go downstairs every day after work and get clean towels, washcloths, trash bags, and have to take my own trash out half of the time. Don't even think about asking for new bedding, I have had the bed covered in blood in one room, then pillow cases and sheets with blood on them in other rooms, towels, and wash clothes with fecal matter....I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone, PERIOD!!! Absolutely not a family hotel."

"We booked rooms at the last minute for a long weekend for 2 families with kids. On our reservation it mentioned that it will be king rooms- non smoking, to our surprise only 1 room was non smoking and the 2nd room Was a smoking room, although it didnt smell but the comforter had smoke marks on it. The breakfast was bad compared to all the choice hotels- we have stayed in so far. They had frozen sausage/ egg muffins- which needed to be heated up in the microwave, yoghurt, cereals and oats packs, muffins and energy bars. No hot breakfast like breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, waffles etc. Prior to booking we had called the hotel and asked if they serve hot breakfast and we were told yes, so we were disappointed with this. The geographical area is not all that great- seems a bit shady, but the only plus point its closer to starbucks, wawa, mcdonalds and Hardee’s. If you travel in day light- it doesnt seem all that bad. The rooms need a lot of TLC - look at the pictures. So far this has been one of the worst choice hotels I have stayed in. The front desk person for check in late at night was a nice lady- she said she is new and wanted to confirm things with her manager. The lndian lady in the breakfast area / reception in the morning was also very pleasant."

"The staff were incredibly nice especially Ms Brittany loved her. The hotel needs some work. The parking lot flooded from the rain. House keeping comes in your room everyday to only change out your trash and give you fresh towel but you have to request for full service house keeping. I asked for it one day and it didn’t happen. Some days I would come in and the room would be completely serviced the other days just the trash and towels. It was like they just did it when they wanted. My toilet seat was broken but they fixed it right away when I let them know. There were patches on the wall where it was like paint missing. The latch on the door was loose and coming off the wall and I had to slam my door just for it to close all the way. You can hear the people in the room above me stomping or there kids. The hotel is located in a not so good area but it was not bad. Rooms need some upgrading."
