Juicy King Crab House

"I went last but for dinner, got two appetizers, the calamari and the wings. Both appetizers were great! Got the wings with the Cajun dry rub, great flavor, freshly made and the wings themselves were big. Calamari was crispy outside and not overcooked or chewy. I highly recommend both. For the main I picked three items; black mussels, clams, and scallops in the juicy king crab special sauce. The special sauce is a mix of their other flavor options. The dry spice portion of it was extremely salty, almost inedibly so and not nearly as spicy as i was expecting. That being said the liquid portion which was mostly spiced garlic butter was fantastic! So I basically had to wash off most of the spice in the butter to enjoy the food. The corn and potatoes included in the bag were both great. Overall the food itself was very good and I'll definitely go back but I won't get that flavor choice again."

"Food was really good, though a bit less variety than Pier 88 in the bag choices. The spice level is pretty weak. I got medium and it was nothing. Still lots of good seafood for the price. Service is awesome! Our server Dedrick was a one man show. He was showing guests to their seats, taking orders, delivering orders, getting the check.. ect. You ever see the music video "Hey Ya" by Outkast? That was Dedrick. And he was so cordial and professional under high stress. There were at least 2 huge parties and a table of dozen young hooligans, plus the singing people at the bar. I KNOW he was stressed. Give the man a raise! That being said, the atmosphere is fun. Not everyone's cup of tea though. A couple in front of us left almost immediately when they realized most of the music had curse words. There was a random shooter in one of the fountains, and a random hoop earing by the candy machine lol"

"Came down to Virgina from New Hampshire to see Goose @ the Hampton coliseum. We stopped in here for lunch, and it was AMAZING! A crazy amount of food for very good prices and it was delicious! Next time I am anywhere that serves seafood like this again I will 100% be going. This place was clean, serving amazing Tim was our server, and he was great. Food came quick and was hot and fresh. 100% recommend to eat here."

"Juicy King Crab House left much to be desired during my visit. The highlight of any boil is undoubtedly the broth - a rich, flavorful, and buttery delight. However, their version fell flat as it lacked the expected robustness and seemed more like a watered-down mixture with hints of chicken broth, a dash of Old Bay seasoning, and just a touch of minced garlic. Needless to say, this was quite disappointing. Before my visit, I had the option to choose between Juicy King Crab House and Mr. Boil, having already tried their NN location and Twisted Crab. In retrospect, I should have heeded the warnings in the reviews and opted for another spot. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no intention of revisiting. DH, enjoyef the Catfish & hush puppies that he ordered so our meal wasn't a total bust. On a positive note, our server Rae was an absolute sweetheart and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Despite this, it wasn't enough to salvage the overall disappointment caused by the lackluster broth and underwhelming dining experience."

"I enjoyed this restaurant. It's a nice place to come if you are in a true seafood mode. The food is delicious. However, they lack in seasoning at times. The Juicy King Crab Special sauce is a hit and miss at times. The customer service is good, but if you have a birthday party here, expect to be waiting long times for food and be patient. Our server Destiny was great, attentive, and did a great job for a party of 30 all by herself. The prices are very reasonable compared to other seafood places. I recommend the Seafood Deluxe boil bag, definitely the wings, any flavor, and don't forget the hush puppies. Their alcoholic drinks are good and get you right."
