"I would have given 5 stars when I first moved in two years ago but Severgn has gone infinitely down hill since then and we cannot wait to move out. Rent was raised to a ridiculous price for the quality of the apartment and community. The apartment hasn’t been updated in years. They give less than 24 hours notice for routine non-emergency maintenance/repairs. They started construction on new buildings a few months ago and never once emailed residents to notify them that any of it was happening. For someone who works from home the construction noise definitely affects my day to day life (not to mention the construction dumpsters being changed out at 5am which is NOT quiet). They are constantly sending emails about not putting out “approved” decorations for the sake of keeping a certain reputation of the community and yet there is construction debris everywhere, broken lamp posts, etc. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a much nicer apartment in the area."
"Don’t move here unless you have no other choice. Worst case scenario at best. The people are weird the grounds are awful. U charge pet fees with no pet park. I’ve seen better pool areas at 1star motels on the side of the road. Make changes to your lease. I could go on forever. I can’t wait til this lease is up soon and get out"
"I was approved for a unit, and appreciate the great customer service of the leasing office- everybody was nice and chill. My wife and I decided to rent closer to her job, and we had to get a check for the $500 holding fee, since corporate couldn't refund back to my credit card. Would be really nice if the complex had a regular EV charging station. PA literally pays thousands to get it installed, and it usually doesn't cost that much."
"My apartment is above a smoker. The cigarette smoke comes into my apt through the vents. The refrigerator in my apartment is very old and runs all the time. This increases my electric bill. The kitchen sink small and faucet is very cheap. There is a knocking over head in my apartment related to the hot water heater. It is frequent and annoying. I will leave when my lease is over and never recommend to anyone living here."
"My wife, sister-in-law and I rented a two bedroom apartment from March 2016 to June 2017. The only reason we did not decide to renew our lease is because we had to relocate 60 miles north due to new jobs and did not want to have a daily commute of plus 75 minutes one way! I've lived in three different apartments (and have seen others) in the area post college and I can say for certain Severgn was the most enjoyable and nicest place I have lived in. The two women in the front office, Sue and Tania are extremely friendly and were nothing but helpful for the 15 months we were living there. (not that there were many reasons for us to need their help!) The maintenance staff is friendly and professional as well. Last year our ac unit randomly stopped working and maintenance fixed it the very same day thankfully! The apartment (second floor) itself was very nice, spacious and well insulated. We never heard any of our neighbors on either side, or below us. The utilities were very reasonable as well. For three people water averaged to about $60 a month. Electric and gas during peak months of summer/winter usually ranged from $150 to $200. (We kept the temp at 72 degrees during the summer and 70 degrees during the winter). The apartment complex itself is very nice, clean and well kept. The pool and gym are included in rent (no amenity fees) and we all got some use out of both. Severgn is also pet friendly and many of the residence are really good when it comes to cleaning up after their pets compared to other places I've lived. Another huge plus is the location. You can't beat having a grocery store, gas station, a Target, and multiple restaurants literally right across the street from the apartment complex. It is also located very close to the turnpike and all the shopping centers in Exton as well. My last pro on my long list for Severgn is that we received our complete security deposit back (minus the carpet cleaning fee which Severgn takes care of for you as well). I've been nickeled and dimed by other apartment complexes even though I've cleaned the entire apartment and leave it on par if not better looking from when I originally moved in which is extremely frustrating since that's your money. I can say Severgn definitely doesn't play any games like that and is fair. If you're on the fence about finding a place to live and are hesitant to move there because of any bad reviews you might have read, I would ignore those and just chalk it up to the person and not the apartment because living at Severgn was nothing but a pleasure for us during our entire time there!"
