"How many poor reviews do you think it takes to get action? The physicians and nurses are fantastic, but man do you need to jump through some hoops to actually see them or talk with them, and when you have a sick child, there isn't time for the rigamarole they put you through. The automated system itself will drive you mad, but then there's no option to schedule a sick visit (you have to request a nurse call back, which has taken HOURS, if they call back). I just had to call and let them know that I was never contacted by a nurse, after submitting a request at 9am this morning (It's 2pm). And the billing dept. continues to make mistakes. Again, the physicians and nurses are wonderful, but that only goes so far if administration is atrocious."

"Doctors are good, administration is bad, at least in this location. First you wait for them to pick up the phone - in the mornings it is usually around 20 minutes. Then they take your information and transfer to to a nurse who is supposed to call back. For us, at least twice they never called back. Then, after waiting for many hours and calling them multiple times, you get to speak to a nurse, who will make everything possible to handle it over the phone and not give you an appointment. Our previous practice was at Jeanes Hospital in NE Phila, and we would get appointments on the same phone call, usually couple hours from calling. I don't think patient numbers are dramatically higher in this CHOP location, it is probably bad administration or strange policies."

"My two little girls just started seeing one of the newer doctor's to the practice, Dr. Mascio, at CHOP Haverford. He is awesome! He is GREAT with kids. He finds unicorns & monkeys in their ears, gets them excited and does a thorough job looking. Recently, I was impressed with how he handled the questions that I had about one of my daughters. He never dismissed my concerns and instead did a thorough walk through/examination, and gave a full explanation during the process while putting my mind at ease. Definitely would recommend!"

"Horrific administration and booking system, long waiting hours for urgent care, but good Doctors (the only reason why I give 2 stars). For the appointment, you have to call the reception, then they will send a message to a nurse who will call you back at a later time (sometimes hours later) If you miss the nurse's call for any reason you have to call the reception again, then they will send a message to the nurse who will call at a later time... If a nurse needs to be the one making the appointment, why can't they just transfer you to the nurse or have dedicated nurses for the day making sick appointments? If your child is sick the last thing you want is to be waiting 2 days to make an appointment. The urgent care there takes forever, I was waiting in the waiting room with an active toddler for 1hr 20 min. I have left messages for the director who never even cared to call me back. The only reason I still go back is because at least the regular doctors are good and caring. I wished the Doctors got together with the administration to make this system a little easier for their patients. Our past office (Society Hills Pediatrics) was amazing! We never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room and sick appointments were made within 5 minutes on the phone for the same day! I know this office can do this as well if they truly care about their patients."
