"I would like to begin by saying that Mark and I go far back to the elementary school days. I can attest to his moral character and know that he is a kind man at heart. I also am aware of his family's legal situation, and I am confident that is the reason behind my poor service reception. However, in a world of tough love, it is impotent to show one's true self. The other day, I brought in my ASUS TUFBOOK to be upgraded in several ways: HHD, RAM,. monitor. The contradctor (MAtt) first quoted me an $86 dollar upfront fee. Outrageous. Next was the HHD upgrade. Mat began hammering away at my TUFBOOK. "WHAM!" "WHAM!" I began crying as my laptope was filed away like a nail. Next came the monitor. Matt hot glued a 90's style spongebob box monitor to the cover of my 'puter. This is almost impossible to use, and is very low quality. I can't do anything. However, Matt is a keen salesman, and knows a vulnerable consumer when he sees one. Matt began selling me Washington Commanders Merchandise by the bucket, and I couldn't say no. I left Mark's Electronics with a bill of $1,752 between the 'puter fix up as well as the merchandise. I write this review from my recliner, writhing in a pile of mini helmets and Antonio Gibson jerseys. I cannot wear these, as I am a Cowboys fan. My 'puter is broken, and my bank account is emptied. I have now must take out a third mortgage on my home that is already in shambles. This was a frightening experience. Mike's Electronics, what I thought would be a simple TUFBOOK 'PUTER repair has turned out to be what may be the end of my humble and spectacular life. Overall, would recommend."
"I was given a 2 day wait for the tech to contact me about fixing my laptop. Heard nothing for a week so I stopped by the store and was told they were trying to find the correct screen and they would be in touch with me. Once again heard nothing for about 2 weeks. I called again to have my calls ignored. When the owner finally got back to me I was told the screen is fixed but they broke the bezel on the screen and I would be responsible for replacing it, even though it was intact when dropped off. My husband went to pick up the laptop and asked for the broken bezel and was told they can’t find it. So I ended up with an ever worse laptop. I will be contacting the better business bureau, this establishment should be shut down. ALSO THE OWNER JUST CALLED ME AND YELLED AT ME FOR 8 MINUTES ABOUT THIS REVIEW."
"On July 22 dropped of an IPad Pro and an XBox One X to be repaired and paid an 80 dollar down payment. First I informed Mark that the IPad had a battery issue and the XBox needed the retimer chip replaced. Two weeks later Mark called me saying the IPad just needed to be hooked up to ITunes for a update, I informed him again that I already ruled out software issues since I reinstalled the operating system/updates, they never again touched the IPAD. Next the XBox was dropped off on the 22nd and they called me on Aug 14 saying "yes they verified there was no output and it looks like the the retimer chip does need to be replaced and it would cost $240 dollars to fix". I declined since the chip and materials cost $20 and takes an hour to remove and replace. So they wanted $220 dollars for a hour of work on a machine that costs $500 brand new. All in all I paid Mark $80 to have my stuff sit on his shelf for three weeks and turn my Ipad on and plug my Xbox into a TV. I will never again bring any item into his store."
"Went to Staples because I thought laptop needed a new charger. They said it wasn't the charger but was the connector that charger plugs into. Only needed to be glued. They recommended Marks Electronics. Marks charged me 250.00 . The repair lasted about two weeks. Took it to another shop. They glued the piece on. Said the person who did the first repair left a piece of metal inside the laptop. This place only charged me 80.00. please don't take anything to Marks Electronics."
"Please read the reviews and DO NOT take your electronics to this place. There are several negative reviews for the same exact thing happened to me . I took my BMW radio to Mark's Electronics to have it repaired. Before dropping it off I verified with him that he was capable of performing Diagnostics to the radio. He told me it was not an issue and it would take approximately three to seven days. While dropping it off he required me to pay a $50 deposit. I called in every week and asked the status of the repair and he always rudely commented I haven't called you that I don't have an update. 5 Weeks Later and calling every week I was finally told to come pick up my radio. They told me they performed a visual inspection of the internals but could not run Diagnostics on the radio and that I would have to take it to the BMW dealership. So now it's 5 Weeks Later and I was scammed $50 with this terrible company. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!"
