"Best people and prices in the business. Just had them fill my 500 gallon tank, had the best price hands down. Also had them fix my LP fireplace. Master tech Nathan came back to complete the repair at not charge. What was most impressive is how he spent the time to walk me through how to best operate the fireplace. I had a superb experience from the first call to the store though the fireplace fix 100% because of the dedicated staff. Will do business with them in the future and highly recommend this company."

"I have been a customer with Southern States - Frederick Office for almost 35 years serving my oil heating furnace and providing heating oil. Work and service was great. Great and courteous people. Then Southern States decided to consolidate services and move it to Spring Mills, WV location. Recently, I had a problem with my furnace. It took them three (3) trips to fix it. For each trip, they charge hundreds of dollars to cost me over $1000 to fix the same problem that they could not fix in the first visit. In addition, the one part they replaced, the repairman took it away with him. I contacted Southern States seeking a correction in the price charged. Management refused to talk with me. I am refusing to pay these excessive charges for incompetent services. I am disputing the charges through my credit card bank and I will pursue the Better Business Bureau."

"I was a Southern States customer for years. A year and a half ago, I received a bill that reflected I was being charged $2.629 per gallon for 596.30 gallons of propane. The bill seemed exorbitant. I checked with a competitor and found that I could get bulk propane at $1.699. The difference when ordering bulk propane was $0.93 per gallon. My home is heated with propane and I buy propane in bulk. I contacted Southern States seeking a correction in the price charged. Southern States refused to adjust the bill though it did offer to lower the bill somewhat in the future if I stayed a customer. The business then started charging 15.15% on the unpaid bill. Today, I am paying $2.20 per gallon for propane. This price is still $.429 per gallon lower than the charge Southern States was using for my account a year and a half ago. This is true despite the increase in the cost of fuel which has occurred over the last year and a half. I will not do business with Southern States again."
