Paradise At Parkside Apartments

"I was rob in my hallway coming from grocery shopping and the Landry mat 3 black teens with black face mask one put a gun in my face as I were trying to get in my apartment and they asked me how many people were in my apartment. The were going to try and kill my family. I don't bother anyone and know anyone. They target me for some unknown reason I guess they thought I have money with I don't. This is one of the worst places I have ever lived in Washington DC. Please don't. Move here."

"As a housing stability case manager for the city I've had a few clients in and out of here on a rapid rehousing subsidy. Horrible management, squalor living conditions, violence on the property. Tenants are treated like animals. No respect. My client's unit failed inspection twice over the span of a month and Paradise neglected to do anything to improve the conditions. She reported rodent infestation, a broken window, multiple leaks, etc. then one day came in and the ceiling was gone. Picture here. Do better."

"Called last night (emergency maintenance) due to a leak and woke up to this disaster this morning. Also won’t get started on how the carpet requires to be redone and all the other plumbing issues that have arisen in this unit. If I could give it 0 stars I would. For $1399 maker rent (no Government assistance) you would think they would value their tents. Not sure when this will be repaired, but I’ll be sure to update this review to reflect repair time. Update: I was give a repair date of Friday, May 20th between 9am-4pm. Well no call no show and I had to call the maintenance number 3 times (4:05, 4:58, 5:10) and didn’t get a call back until about 5:45 and was told they would look into why no one came so a whole day wasted. I was given another call back 15 minutes later with an option of Saturday or Monday for repair. So I gave up half my Saturday because who wants to wait an entire 7 days before having their issues fixed. Well now the ceiling is repaired thankfully. But I’m sure I’ll see the maintenance team Monday or whenever because they forgot their fan/ dryer thing."

"The temperatures in these are apartments are not safe for anyone living there! I have family here and the temperature in the apartment is hotter than it is outside! Living on the 3rd floor has to be literally hell. We all no heat rises. Multiple calls to the office, Multiple maintenance visits and calls, Multiple voice-mails and absolutely nothing has changed or been fixed in the unit. I'll try calling again today on behalf of my family member living here. Not worth the rent to live in that place."

"The apartment is decent but the staff is not professional.. the Maintenance is lazy and half do there job. When I moved in it was very dirty the cabinets, the refrigerator, and the stove it still had old pans inside. It was dead bugs everywhere all they did was paint and spray bug spray."
