The Lofts at Park Crest Apartments

"Stay away from this company. Please be cautious when dealing with them, as they provided me with photos of a different unit as supposed proof of damage to the carpet they claimed I caused. I strongly advise avoiding this company. During my brief three-month stay in one of their units, I was subjected to various charges for the short-term lease as well as a high rent amount. Upon moving out, I received a final bill that included a shocking $624 charge for carpet replacement. Confident that I had not damaged the carpet, I was reached out by the GREYSTAR Receivable Department as I had disputed this fee. To my surprise, someone from their team sent me an email with several photos of a room they alleged to be mine, showing the supposed carpet damage. However, upon reviewing the photos with my wife, we realized that they did not depict our unit but a different layout altogether, I would be happy to get into our unit to prove that the photos didn't belong to the one we lived in. It became evident that they had sent me pictures of another unit and were demanding $624 for carpet repair, which is utterly unreasonable and illegal. I spent a considerable amount of time trying to contact someone in charge, which was incredibly frustrating. The representative from the receivable department referred me to the leasing office manager for further dispute resolution, but the manager redirected me back to them. This company refuses to take responsibility for their errors. Considering my experience, I must emphasize that choosing this apartment was a significant mistake, and I would strongly discourage anyone from renting from them. I am prepared to pursue legal action to rectify this situation, as it is wholly unjust to falsely charge tenants in this manner, if not fixed appropriately."

"We had a great tour experience here thanks to Jasmine. We really liked the fact the apartment complex had a Harris Teeter downstairs (a big plus!). One of our favorite amenities was the amazing looking lounge with HUGE windows. The apartments themselves had limited touring options due to most being lived-in. But the two apartment complexes we did see had impressive loft features. We did not necessarily enjoy the school lunch cafeteria style islands and the high rent price for an apartment building with mostly old-ish cabinets and flooring. Great customer experience though, and I’m sure if you don’t mind the older looking apartment and decor/aesthetics, it could be a great fit. Watch out for the floor plans with the huge pillar in the middle of the bedroom though."

"Lived here for over 8 years now. This location has great access to parks, recreation, shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. The new management team (including Doug and his maintenance staff) led by Ashley is AWESOME! Unlike the previous company, they are very responsive, friendly and professional. They have done so many long overdue updates and repairs since they are on board. During over 4+ years of negligence by the former management company, residents lived through frequent hot water issues, elevator breakdowns, alarm malfunctions, and ZERO seasonal maintenance/annual checkup services. But the new management seems very committed to making this community great again by always getting to the bottom of the issues. They are more engaged with the residents as well with monthly fun events. I am very happy with the new team, please make them stay!"

"I've really enjoyed the The Lofts at Park Crest. The staff and Hello Alfred staff have all been amazing. I wish there were a few more amenities around pets. I'd looooove to see a couple of wash/dry stations for dogs. I love my apartment and the finishes/appliances and layout. :) If I could change one thing, it'd be some annoying guy near my apartment that smokes. It drives me nuts. Other than that, it is a clean, respectful environment. :)"

"The Lofts at Park Crest was the best place I ever lived, but it was time in our lives for various reasons to buy a house. We lived at the Lofts for just under four years. They have a huge gym that no other apartments can match. The appliances are awesome. We already miss our refrigerator and dishwasher at the Lofts. We lived on the side with the loading docks but felt that our apartment was still quiet and were never awakened at night. The convenience of having Harris Teeter downstairs is ridiculous. We now have to actually plan what we are going to eat for the week, drive to the store, and stock up. WHAT? I used to wander downstairs in my pajamas and grab a starbucks coffee and pastry, come down later at 4:30pm to pick up a few ingredients for dinner. I never used the pool or community room but those areas are beautiful. The residents that lived around us over the years were always quiet and respectful. Tends to be a mix of young urban professionals, diplomats/executives, and retirees. No crazy party people in my experience. Management and maintenance are responsive to concerns and in general I never had any problems living here that weren't addressed within 24 hours. The concierge operates very efficiently - we had our dry cleaning drop off an pick up, we could leave UPS packages for pick up, and receiving packages was a breeze. You get an instant e-mail notification when there is a package for you (and when you pick it up). Never missed a package, never had to wait to get a notification, etc. What a smooth, nice living experience!"
