"This review is long overdue. I have been a resident at Bolden for over three years now, and I am very happy to call this place my home. The building, location, and apartments here are great, but what makes my review five stars is the property management staff here, specifically Skylar and Rosa, as well as the Maintenance staff, specifically Cesar! Whenever it is time to renew my lease, Skylar takes great care in making sure the process goes smoothly and that I am given the best deal possible. Her outstanding management skills and care for the residents here is really one in a million. I had to renew my lease last August, in which I requested to move into a unit with a balcony. Skylar did everything she could to make that happen, and notified me right away once a unit became available. The renewal and move went very smoothly and she made sure all of my needs were met during the entire process. Rosa is also of great help in making sure I am taken care of, with quick replies to any questions or concerns I may have. The Building is kept very well, with an excellent cleaning and maintenance staff. They're all extremely friendly too. I know if I ever need help with anything, Cesar is always on it! If you are considering moving into the Tysons area, I strongly recommend making the Bolden your next home."

"This review is based on my experience touring the property and interaction with their staff. I initially scheduled an in person tour appointment online using their virtual assistant. I called to confirm (I got no confirmation of any kind) and they told me that they were unable to find it in their system so I scheduled another appointment. On the day of the original appointment someone called to confirm whether I’ll be there or not since the appointment actually got scheduled. By chance I was in the area and made it to the tour, but I was 15 mins late due to the mix up. The concierge was really rude about me being late even though it was their fault. A couple weeks later I called to inquire about availability and it was super hard to get in touch with anyone from the leasing office. They don’t have any phone lines in the office and the number on the website just takes you to the voicemail / concierge. I left multiple messages with them and got a call back after a few days even though the concierge told me that they’ll pass my message along! I went to tour the property again because I wanted to see the apartment myself and because it’s really difficult to reach any leasing agent and once more their concierge (a different one this time) was unfriendly. They also keep hiking up the apartment prices almost every other day and the rent is higher than any other luxury building in the area. Definitely not worth it!"

"The maintenance team of Rise & Bolden are friendly, greet you whenever they see you, fix issues promptly and always look for solutions to any issues. I had to make some adjustments to the apartment and a person from the maintenance team quickly resolved my problem - I am very satisfied with their service."

"I have lived at many luxury apartments throughout the years in the Northern Virginia area and this was by far the absolute worse living experience I have had. From horribly condescending management to issues with frequent utility outages (loss of power, elevators stopped working, floods, broken HVAC, etc.), I tried time and time again to give them a chance to reconcile my issues however nothing was successful. It got so bad that I had to cancel my lease and pay a penalty after only 5 months of living there. Walter, the GM, had promised me that he would refund the cancellation as a one time courtesy, however after paying it, it was almost as if the management was avoiding my calls and completely ghosted me. I would highly recommend you steer clear of this building that claims luxury but treats you as if you are a section 8 tenant."

"It’s been almost a month since I moved in and asked to fix noise in the ceiling(rattling noise is coming all the way from parking)and every day marijuana smell in the hallway. It is so annoying. None of these has been taken care of. I was offered another apartment but I didn’t match any of my criteria that I wanted originally. And entrance door doesn’t always lock, showed this to leasing management too. I asked if I can leave without paying break fee, negative response. I don’t know what to do…"
