Hampton Inn Washington-Downtown-Convention Center

"Everyone that I encountered from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Most importantly, I felt safe & the rooms were clean. With this in mind, I would stay at this hotel again. Things that I didn't like, the continental breakfast is terrible. I know no one is cooking that food it's prepackaged & reheated. But there are much better food service providers & plenty of local food sources. Please, please! Go with another food service provider. The room I stayed in desperately needs an exhaust fan in the bathroom. 705"

"We would absolutely book another stay with this hotel! The staff being the biggest reason. HUGE shout out to D'Angelo (the valet) and Thomas (evening bartender). They made the stay memorable.. Thank You!! The rooms were pretty standard, and yes the lobby had some construction (but we knew that when we booked ahead). The location is perfect walking distance to everything."

"I must say that the location of this hotel is very convenient. I went for a cardiology conference a couple months ago for three days and it was walking distance from the convention center, however, the service is the worst service that I had ever have at any Hilton hotel. I would not call it even part of the Hilton company. Apart of the service, when I get back home, I realized that I left behind in the closet two of my best dresses that I was supposed to wear for the dinner. I tried to contact the hotel in several occasions and they did not have an answer to me, they will always redirect my call to the housekeeping person who never pick up the phone. After I was done calling, I sent an email requesting to check for my dresses which I never receive a response. I called three months after as my last resource and I left a voicemail to the housekeeper and she called me back saying that they don't keep anything more than two months even after I explained that I tried to contact them as early as three days after my stay. I have NEVER hear something like that before. They were two expensive dresses that I wore once each. I will never stay on a Hilton Hotel never again. Worst service when I was there and worst service even after I left. Don't stay here, there are more hotels in the area, same prices, better service."

"This place is about a mile from Union Station. Not a bad walk to the hotel. However, on the way back, the walk is on an upgrade. I didn't struggle, but it might be more challenging for some. I would suggest allowing more time if you are walking back to union Station. This hotel is a couple of blocks to the convention center. This Hampton inn has a bar in it that is open in the evenings. There are restaurants that you can walk to. The staff were wonderful. From the front desk to the maids, everyone went out of their way to assist you. The did check my bag on my arrival day so that I could get to an early meeting without my suitcase. This is a great service! Thank you!"
