Red Lion Hotel Rosslyn Iwo Jima 1501 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22209

"First off I don’t usually put up reviews however this one is a must! Room was very outdated, didn’t expect it to look like so old and shabby. Needs updating, carpet in our rooms were falling apart, beds not comfortable and sinking in the middle. Bed sheets were very old and had stains on them. I was checking out the beds and head board and spotted a bug, worried it was a bed bug. I was terrified and told the front desk and didn’t want to stay at the hotel. I had no other choice as it was late at night and we booked 2 rooms and have children. Was going to sleep in the car. Don’t want bed bugs. I shouted the front desk personnel and was told he cannot offer the refund, due to the fact that we booked through another site. So we had the room changed. Never experienced or expected this. Thing a were unclean, fridge and microwave were dirty from the outside and didn’t want to see inside. Area is quiet and parking is free but seems shady. The tv’s were outdated flat screen and the quality was extremely poor and unclear viewing. Neither the kids nor us adults liked it. Didn’t shower, however the soap and shampoo/conditioner seemed very cheap. Don’t recommend this hotel, wish I paid more to have a better stay."

"Very nice staff. Rooms clean and fresh. LOTS of places nearby. Primo location! No brekkies but their coffee is wonderful! They remove it though too early. It's 32 degrees outside at 3pm and I really would love a cup from the lobby! No coffeemaker in the room. Our room faced a wooded area nd we watched a red fox play around in the woods for about an hour. He/she was beautiful! Here is a pic,!"

"The hotel is not clean and is not very comfortable. The location, after walking 12 minutes, is good. The biggest problem is that the hotel did not charge the 50 dollars from my credit card. They asked for my credit card at the entrance and said it was for depositing shorts and that at the exit they would refund the 50 dollars, but they didn't."

"I got into DC about 5pm. The person working the counter was really rude. The carpet in my room wasn't even and it felt really weird walking on it. The fitness area was a joke!!! The size auf the room was maybe half the size of our hotel room. The only good thing about the hotel is that it's very close to Washington DC and Arlington national cemetery."

"Great location out of some of the hustle and bustle of downtown DC. We found our room was a good price without the extras. Parking was free and felt safe. Don't expect in room coffee, ice, or breakfast. There was a microwave and fridge which suited our needs fine. The room was a little dated, but the towels and bedding were very comfortable and luxurious."
