"Stayed here for 3 nights for my spur of the moment trip to Washington D.C. The hotel was nice, quiet, and well-maintained. I was given a newly renovated room, but unlike other Marriotts I’ve stayed at, this one didn’t come with dish soap or sponge and only had 2 towels in the bathroom (which I had to request for more). The front desk rep who checked me in was not friendly at all. She didn’t even greet me upon entering and only asked for my name. She said absolutely nothing till she handed me my key card, saying it opened my room door and parking garage. I had to ask her where I was even supposed to park. I never saw her again during my stay. All other staff I came across were very pleasant. Breakfast was good and rooms were pretty sound proof. I slept well each night and was always able to get a park. If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy member, I recommend that you always pick the parking included package so you don’t have to worry about that. With all that said, I’d definitely stay here again if I’m in the area."
"I would like to express my sincere thanks to Robert Walker OPS Manager and Timika Kinsey Front Desk who were on duty the evening of 12 December. I previously had a reservation at the Renaissance but because of a mix up my reservation was cancelled. Since they were booked we tried your hotel and we were able to get a room. However, all of the booking was through my job I needed a form filled out to take possession of the room. Mr. Walker and Ms. Kinsey were very patient and professional and I must stress patient because my husband and I had just got to the area from Texas and we were extremely tired. The whole process took about 30 minutes because I had to get in contact with my co-worker who booked the reservation. The room and service from your entire staff was definitely worth the wait and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to stay with you again next year!"
"This is a really nice all-suite hotel about a 15-20 minute walk from Crystal City Metro station, although the hotel runs free shuttles there as well as the airport. There are also public bus stops very close to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and my room was large, clean and well-appointed. Buffet breakfast (complimentary for all guests) was excellent with plenty of choices. Please note though that there is extensive long-term building construction going on adjacent to this hotel as Crystal City is rapidly changing. I was there on the weekend and my room faced away from the construction sites, so I heard zero noise but take note if you'll be there during the week."
"Very poor experience. Would not recommend staying here until they seriously rethink how to manage this location. 1) Starting construction at 8:00 am on a Saturday is absurd. Why not wait and push the start of this later in the day? Moreover, this was a day before a major race in the DC area, the Army Ten Miler, the night before a big race where you’d like to get some good sleep. 2) In line with the above, the rooms are old and outdated. The walls are also extremely thin. 3) Does anyone even work the front desk? I called multiple times (to address various issues throughout our stay) and waited nearly 5 minutes for every phone call. 4) We, and hundreds of others, were in the local area for the Army Ten Miler. This hotel offers a weekday shuttle to the Pentagon and the DC metro at thirty minute increments. However, on the day of the race, and the weekend as a whole, they don’t even offer a pentagon shuttle, nor do they provide their own shuttle to the metro until the race starts. You raise your room rates for the race, and then don’t bother to even offer any amenities to even assist the racers to get there? Such a joke. There’s a lot of hotel offerings in this area. Choose another one."
"Excellent Marriott hotel with friendly customer service. The rooms were clean and had plenty of room. We were upgraded due to status and enjoy our stay over a long weekend getaway. The rooms came with a full kitchen which made it easier with kids. We did not cook but certainly appreciated the availability of a stove, dish washer, microwave and a fridge. The hotel was also a short taxi ride to major DC attractions."
