"The staff here are super friendly, and I feel good about leaving my dogs here with them. I've been taking them here for a while and I've always had good experiences."
"Brody loves it here! The staff is professional, friendly, flexible and really cares about the dogs. Many of the staff have been there a long time, and know the dogs and the owners well."
"Such a great place!! We were visiting from our of town and needed daycare for our puppy. Dog Takes took such great care of him he didn't even want to leave after the first day!! I highly recommend them for your doggy daycare needs!! Wonderful and caring staff!!"
"This is what we are paying for? Employees to sit on their phones, NOT EVEN WITH THE DOGS! I watched this today for so far 15 minutes and not once did the employee look up while I saw dogs barking and peeing everywhere. What if there was a fight? What if a dog has a medical issue?? Calling this place will do nothing as they have lied before in the past about incidents that have happened. Watching the cameras always bring me dread as I continually see people doing everything but watching the dogs. Do yourself a favor and NEVERA bring your dogs here. Ownership is already aware of the poor management and staffing and fully support it."
"Since Asher, my dog, doesn't do doggy daycare on a regular basis, I've used the local spot close to I-66 in Manassas whenever we've needed a place for her to stay for a day or two. The problem is they don't provide hands on service that I'd like her to have for an extended stay. And, the last time we used them, she didn't seem very happy at all. Asher is very social, loves to be with people and other dogs and if she doesn't seem happy after being with them, something is wrong. In Northern VA, dog families have a plethora of options for boarding, so doing the research took most of a day. My needs were: excellent client reviews, large boarding space (not a small kennel), passionate staff and Asher has to feel comfortable. Dog Tales Daycare and Dogs Downtown. I liked them both after visiting, but Dogs Downtown seemed a bit more like a training facility (which they are) than a homey boarding environment. As I understood it, she'd go to play area 30 minutes, back to kennel for 30 minutes and keep telling the process. There was not an opportunity to tour the facility. After our 30 minute evaluation, Asher seemed fine to be there, but there was no interaction with other dogs so I wasn't sure how she's react to their play area. At Dog Tales, they require a half day or full day evaluation, and they don't charge for it In all of my research, I hadn't come across a group that wanted to make sure your pup was going to be at ease in their environment. It was comforting to know, after she passed her half day evaluation, that s she's be with other "vetted" pups. I should also note that when I came to pick her up after her evaluation, she wanted to stay and play! I also ran into a person picking up her dog from daycare. She's been a client for years and spoke highly of the kindness and care of the staff. The staff-from my first phone call inquiry until the day we picked her up after 5 days/4 nights-is amazing with people and dogs. They are dog lovers and passionate about their service to them. Here are some points to consider for boarding, for less than $70/day, your dog enjoys: *a larger personal space, not a small kennel * 4 outside walks a day *Any treats you want to leave (Asher likes a treat after every outdoor experience at home, they gladly did that for us) We also requested daily photo updates. They were free of charge. Dog Tales is the professional, yet personal and honey, home away from home your dog deserves it she can't be at home."
