"Our very old. Quaker parakeet is quite sick. We had him to an emergency vet when we were traveling and knew we needed to see a local vet. I am so grateful to have an avian vet almost in our neighborhood. In years passed, this wasn't even a possibility so we were very happy to find Ridge Lake animal hospital. The staff there is wonderful. The intake worker seems to have an incredible amount of knowledge which was not expected and a pleasant surprise. He was both reassuring and quite helpful. The nurse assistant was very kind and gentle in caring for our poor old bird. The vet seems to be truly knowledgeable about birds. Birds are quite different from many pets and a bit difficult to treat. Her knowledge has quite helpful to us. She has been willing to take the time to speak with us at length and to send us information that we need. An added plus is that she doesn't seem push too many tests right out of the gate the way other places have. Yet she is more than willing to order whatever tests are needed. The whole staff is very compassionate and patient, which is something any pet owner with a sick animal is going to appreciate. I highly recommend Ridge Lake animal hospital"

"I've been to many vets with our now 10 year old cat, and I can definitely say that this was the most attentive and thorough vet I've been to. Not only did I feel like everyone loved my cat nearly as much as I do, but I felt like I had the time to ask as many questions as I needed and got thorough explanations for everything. Often at a vet you can feel a bit rushed with the actual veterinarian, not so at Ridge Lake. Dr. Cherness went through every question I had about my cat, and even went so far as to give me recommendations for websites and products that would enrich her and help with her eating problem (she's a gorger!). I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone in the area!"

"I originally reviewed on Yelp but wanted to make sure I share my experience on all the platforms because I like this place so much - I have had nothing but an exceptional and positive experience at Ridge Lake. A few months ago I realized something was off with my kitty Randal and was able to get an appointment here to check him out. Randal ended up needing to start a treatment plan for a pretty severe viral syndrome he had, and the staff here were able to give me all the information I needed, give me the comfort I needed at the time of his diagnosis, and give me some hope for his prognosis. I've continued to go to Ridge Lake for the duration of Randal's treatment for monitoring and blood work, and I'm happy to say he has been cured as of this week! Because of the kind and knowledgeable folks here, I've even moved over the medical records for my other kitty (Reston) to this clinic. Everyone is always so kind and sweet to my boys when we come in, straight to the point when it comes to their health, and always looking out for me and the kitties. It's really hard to find a vet clinic like this so I feel really lucky. If I had a better memory, I'd shout out everyone at this clinic but specifically (if I remember correctly) I've had the pleasure of interacting with Emily, Dr. Credit, Dr. Cherness, Jose, Raye, Kyana, and Jeff - thank you all so much for being there for my cats (kitty pics attached for cat tax)"
