"Friendly staff and they gave Domino, rescued bu a great friend and brought to me, a full checkup. Domino had separation anxiety and wasn't the most cooperative dog so they halted and rescheduled. Didn't subject my new found friend and family member to any added stress."

"They are absolutely wonderful. I recently took our cats in for their annual check ups and, to be completely honest, our one cat can be a complete monster. 14 years and she's never been a good girl at the vet. Except this time. They won her over with love and goodies and, even though Ninja still had a lot of cussing to do, she didn't fight. She was calm, she explored (no hiding), she purred, she did not have to be restrained. I took this photo of her getting her vaccines because I've never seen her behave so well. They had only two hands holding her still, she barely noticed her vaccines! Ninja was so good!! I totally give credit to the vets and staff at VCA for calming her. This matters. Animals know when they are safe and in good hands. ❤️"

"I had to call on three separate occasions to ever get my call returned about boarding. They wouldn’t take the dog without an exam even though he was just seen by a VCA clinic 5 minutes away a few weeks before. The dog has anxiety and was cowering in the corner, on my lap, while getting shots (at the other clinic) and didn’t make a single aggressive move towards the person giving the shots. He was just in pain and trying to get to me for comfort. He was later started on 1x/day prozac for separation anxiety that amounts to him just shaking and whining. They said (here at VCA Lewis) that they wouldn’t board him because he is “aggressive and requires medication for his aggression”. Not only is the dog not aggressive and has no bite history, and is incredibly sweet towards new people once handled gently and with patience for as little as 5 minutes, but he also wouldn’t need them to administer the medication during his stay. I’m incredibly frustrated that (even after spending well over a thousand dollars for my pets at VCA over the past two months) that another location in the network refuses to provide basic care for one of my pets for absolutely bogus reasons, on top of being unable to ever return calls. I will no longer be taking any of my three animals to any of the VCA locations since on top of being incredibly overpriced (which I was willing to do under the assumption that I could get other perks like boarding) they (who are supposed to be professionals in the veterinary business) seem to be unable to accommodate basic care of animals with (minimal) fear-related issues."

"We've been seeing Dr. Hebnar for over 5 years. My pug is a frequent flier and he always gives her the best care, answers all of my questions, and pays attention to the finest detail. We've seen a couple of other vets in the practice and they are also amazing. The front desk staff is always helpful and efficient. We have also boarded our dogs here and the staff was absolutely amazing."
