"Saturday evening 6:30 pm. My wife and I wanted to get a quick bite to eat but didn’t want to go to our regular spots. We decided on Mackie’s and we are so glad we did. We were greeted right away by Cam (the owner) with a warm smile and welcoming manner. We hadn’t been here before so Cam gave us two menu’s and told us to have a seat, look it over and when we were ready to come back up. The food came out quick. It was fresh and DELICIOUS. We were so satisfied and pleased with the taste and quality of the food. Cam checked in on us a few times and was very delightful. So many times throughout our dinner, my wife and I kept telling each other how good the food was and how we are definitely coming back. We had the liquor infused dessert and that was delicious as well. Thank you Cam and Mackie’s for a wonderful meal and experience. We will definitely be back."

"Delicious BBQ! Plain and simple. This location was recently opened. The makeover of the place looks great. Cool, clean looking space inside with wooden floors/tables and sleek stainless steel finishes and chairs. Rustic and modern at the same time. Small dining area inside (maybe sits about 40). Menu is simple with many bbq choices. We ordered different items to share with the family. We took home plenty of leftovers. Favorites: warm and soft cornbread, BBQ ribs (come off the bone), brisket (nicely seasoned and tender), pulled pork, potato salad (potatoes were on the firmer side), mac and cheese, french fries (crinkle cut) nice and crispy. Truly can't go wrong. With anything you order. Place looks great outside with organized parking spaces and beautifully painted facade. Visit Mackie's BBQ and enjoy great food."

"Today I visited this place, I had previously ordered delivery at their Gaithersburg location. It is worth mentioning that they have done a great job remodeling this place, the PARKING is super organized, the parking lines are perfectly arranged, there are traffic signs indicating where to go and generally there is always parking. On the food side, I was fascinated, I ordered the brisket with a side of mac and cheese, everything was delicious, very soft, the amount of sauce was perfect, they still included a side of additional sauce for free in case I wanted to add a little more and this seemed perfect to me because I have been to other places that flood the brisket with sauce and the flavor is lost, I understand that we are in 2023 almost 2024 and that it is a new establishment but due to the price and quantity it seemed a little expensive to me Well, the total was $23.21 and for a new restaurant it seems to me that the value of things has increased a little. I perfectly understand how expensive it is to open a new establishment but it was still very expensive due to the amount of food, the only way For me to feel comfortable paying that price would be for them to increase the food portions. The customer service was EXCELLENT, they made my food in less than 15 minutes!! I thought this was fabulous, in general, everything was very nice but I would like them to do something about the prices and portion sizes. Thank you Mackie's Barbecue & Bar, for opening this location in Olney, we all understand that it is a new establishment and you need time to progress, Olney already needed a barbecue place."

"Greeted by the new owner at the door we were lead to an order station where we placed our order and paid for the food. We then choose a colorful BBQ table. Our order was brought out on new cookie sheets trays with colorful and fun baking tips. The silverware is plastic ware and the sandwiches served on cardboard paper plates. The brisket sandwich was 4 slices easily 1/2” thick. The beef was approximately 4” x 4” each. The beef was a nice soft chew and delicious. The fries were cooked perfectly, but we did ask for salt and pepper to kick them up a notch. The coleslaw was fresh, bright and colorful. I recommend storing as a lot of the dressing is settled on the bottom of the cup. The corn muffins light and airy and no grit at all. The drinks of coke are $1.95 for a 12oz can and $1.25 for refills. Sweet tea and Arnold Palmer are the other options. TV’s are being installed. Staff highly attentive. Bbq sauce and southern vinegar sauce also sold by the bottle. Tee shirts also sold I recommended char broiled hamburgers and corn on the cob and apple sauce . They have corn on the cobs for catering events. I welcome them and highly recommend them."
