"Although we visited Hunan Delight on 12/22/23 I did expect better service from the waitress. Taking into consideration that it was busy she seemed to pay more attention her customers that that may have been friends or family .It took quite a considerable time to get our main course. The tofu was overcooked and dishes that were served with broccoli in it was cold. I don’t what to put a racial tone to this but it is my opinion. Although we were a party of 8 the server had a couple of tables that several people but they got their meals rather quickly. Had it not been a celebration of my birthday that my son and daughter in law had planned for I might have called it a day!"

"Been going there for years but ever since new owners food not as good. Got the General Chicken, it was over cooked crispy and barely any sauce. The fried rice is not really fried rice, it’s like rice pilaf with soy sauce. The egg rolls were very dark in color due to very old frying oil. This place is not the same as used to be."

"Overall we had a decent lunch. Prices are reasonable considering the potion of each dish. Taste is acceptable to Chinese customers. Duck was a little less than expected. Definitely not half. Pay attention to your bill. They automatically added 20% of tips based on after tax total in the bill."

"Hidden gem in the neighborhood. I would not have expected high grade tender peking kaoya in suburban shopping center. Chefs here are really good at bring unami out of what seems like ordinary standard menu. Recommended dish are peking duck, General Tso's chicken, Fried eggplant, seafood rice soup, Sichuan spicy string beans. Trust me, i fly to Chicago on random weekend if I crave deep dish pizza and I appreciate these restaurants that runs solid operation with reasonable price. Peking Gourmet Inn right now would not be a good value compared to this place and I'd rate the food higher in quality."

"Shrimp fried rice was the best dish we had today. Shrimp was juicy and the rice was flavorful! Peking duck was our second favorite. It was a bit dry and the skin was not as crispy. It was also not the airy light crisp. It was not the best peking duck but probably the best in the neighborhood. Sesame chicken was nicely fried, had much flavor and crunch to it. However, sesame chicken and the beef dish tasted so similar to Panda Express. Very crunchy, extreme sauce and tad too sweet. In my opinion, there’s no need to pay the extra money to have it at Hunan. Hunan Delight is definitely one of locals favorite and I see that a lot of Koreans also like H.Delight, I saw tables full of Koreans. I am sure they’re coming for the duck. However, I can’t say it’s one of the memorable Chinese I had. It’s not authentic but more of Americanized Chinese. It’s good but not memorable."
