"Best sushi in the area. Lovely customer service. Not a lot of seating if you want to eat inside."
"If you like the fancy restaurants with the white table clothes and the high prices. Then your missing out on some of the best sushi Rockville has to offer, Give sushi house a try you will not be disappointed. Great food and you must try the spicy tuna the best I've ever eaten. Been coming here for over 17 years. Edited: Today marks almost 22 years coming here with my son since he was around 5 years old and this is our favorite Sushi and Sashimi spot in Maryland. The quality of the fish supreme and same for the sushi. They also offer other non sushi dishes for the non sushi eaters and the prices you get for the high quality food can't be beat. The old decor and mom and pop shop feeling is what you get he. Your not paying for high end silverware and plates, it's just a casual place to grab a quick bite to eat of some of the most authentic Japanese sushi style that you don't find in most high end sushi restaurants that uses fillers with there spicy tuna rolls and spicy mayo. We're losing so many good little mom and pop shops to these corporate chains who only offer subpar foods that lack great flavor. It will be very sad to see another great establishment close it's doors if we don't support these people. There not investing in another jet airplane or some other vacation home in the Caribbeans, they spend there money locally in the community and ensure that there customers walk away with a happy belly full of some wonderful eats."
"Super dry and tiny rolls. I've had better luck at a grocery store! Definitely would not return. Also. There is no seating inside. They have a lunch special for two rolls for $9. It only came with 9 small pieces, so $1 each. Not good at all. No indoor dining or even anywhere to sit. I got the shrimp tempura and the crunch spicy Salmon. Both were super, super dry, and had NO flavor. Couldn't have even bothered to give a cucumber or a line of spict Mayo on it? Would have cost them almost nothing and would have made the rolls tolerable. Didn't even finish my meal. Wheel chair friendly: ♿️ 4/5 no automatic door opener, but does have a wide door and enough space to turn around and an assemble curb. Kid friendly : 0/5. Just a location for them to prep take out. The building was full of boxes and didn't seem like a restaurant at all."
"I'm pretty picky about my sushi rolls, but these are super tasty :) not an excessive amount of rice, very flavorful and very fresh. Staff is friendly and polite. I used to go to niwano hana up the street but they are a little pricey so I wouldn't go as often. I love the value here at the Sushi House and I hope it doesn't change because it keeps me coming back every week! :) FYI it is take-out only"
"May 2021 Ordered carry out for dinner. Decent service, decent entrees, and bland sushi. The sushi and sashimi portions were generous, but surprisingly tasteless. Even the smoked eel rolls had little flavor, which I didn't think was possible. The wasabi was very potent though. We got two teriyaki dishes: chicken and salmon. Both the chicken and salmon had been steamed with the teriyaki sauce added on afterwards. While it tasted good, teriyaki is supposed to be grilled with the sauce added while cooking, not poured on afterwards. As positives, they gave us generous portions of meat and edamame. The salad, miso soup, and rice portions were decent. Overall, if I were to come again, I would come for the lunch bento boxes."
