Ledo Pizza

"Apparently, my in-laws have been going here for a decade or longer. Their steak and cheese sub sandwich is by far the best thing in their menu. They just do it right. The family enjoys their regular pizza but I don’t. They hardly put any sauce on the pizza so ask for extra if you like more than a few tablespoons. However, I noticed they had hamburger pizza and taco pizza which made me give them another try. Ordered the hamburger pizza which was better than expected and a funky change that I would order again, with extra sauce."

"The pizza is mediocre. The sauce is a bit too salty, but the thin crust is decent and they do a good job with the cheese and the toppings. I'd give them a 3 for their pizza and a 4 for their sandwiches. Their sandwiches are pretty good. Their sandwiches are better than Subway, but still not as good as a real deli. I think that a floppy thin crust works better on a circular pizza. I've found that placing one slice upside down on top of the other is my favorite way to eat a Ledo pizza. It's a bit hard not having a crust to hold onto, so turning it into a pizza sandwich makes it easier to hold because you can press down on the top as well as the bottom. I like thin crust pizza, but I have never understood the Ledo pizza rectangular pizza gimmick."

"Update . . . we appreciate that Ledo's corp reached out and asked us to contact them. We did using the contact provided, but never got a response. Our review stands and we've been frequenting a different Ledo's. First, we LOVE Ledo's pizza and have been going to this location for years. It's slowly taken a turn for the worse and today was the last time we'll visit this location. The pic is from tonight's take out order and unfortunately I did not look at it before leaving. They used to always open the box to make sure you received the correct order, this time they did not. What we got was disappointing. As you can see, several slices had no cheese or even sauce. It was supposed to be 1/2 anchovies, but they were scattered and only about a 1/2 dozen pieces. The service was not great either. There was one customer there before me and they were finishing up his order. Then, rather than ask me if I was picking up or placing an order, the owner walked away from the counter and started going thru pizza boxes behind him, no one was waiting, so there was no one waiting to pick up except me. Then someone from the kitchen came out, again, did not greet me, instead started running tickets out of the register. Then another came out from the kitchen, still no greeting and she started straightening out the cookie display. Finally, a 4th employee came out and asked if I was here to pick up and took my payment. Disappointing pizza and poor service. Will not be back. Taking my business to the Olney location from now on. Hopefully they will be better."

"Got carryout over the weekend. I ordered online! They have their own rewards program and I get a few offers via email. They open at 11am so first time available for pickup was 11:30am. Not sure if going at 11am would make it any faster, but I was ok with time. Got a large cheese and medium sausage. Both were cooked well. The right amount of sauce! The crust was great and even all around! Plenty of sausage on the medium! Family was happy. Looks like I'll be ordering from this location more often!"

"I’m really going to miss this place! This is my go-to place for pizza and feeding a large group of people who know how to eat. No complaints on their pizza. When I arrived there the pizza wasn’t ready so I waited in my car. The dude at the cash register was generous and brought the 3 pizzas out to my car. The parking can be full up front but there’s parking in the back of the restaurant. During rush hour (making a left) good luck. It’s finding a needle in a haystack if you get lucky doing that. Thanks for being the memories!"
