"Visited the First Civic Monument and the surrounding beach area before leaving Portland, Maine. This area is cozy and a nice place for a picnic and to relax before a long drive back to Boston. We found parking on the street very easily, but signs were posted for July 4th and 5th that the street parking would be blocked for the holiday. So keep that in mind if you’re visiting during the Fourth of July."
