"I can not even begin to explain how kind, patient, and compassionate the staff are. I haven't been able to get my semi-feral cat to a vet since I adopted her 5 years ago. I recently took her to a different local vet, and they threatened to euthanize her if she bit anyone since she wasn't vaccinated. But at BCAH, they planned in advance to prescribe gabapentin to make her sleepy. She hissed some at first, but the staff got out churu treats on a lick mat. They patiently fed her churu from their finger until she felt more comfortable with them. Then, they wrapped her in a towel purrito. I'm truly amazed at how well this vet visit went after so many failed attempts before. I know part of it was the gabapentin helping calm her down, but 3 other vets I tried to make appointments with before never thought to prescribe it. When I got home, Sally was completely unphased by the vet visit. Not traumatized like she normally would be from these trips. Dr. Kristen Cohen and the staff are amazing. Front desk staff were kind and welcoming. All in all, it was a wonderful experience."
