"Dr Hira Zafar has been nothing but exceptional when it has come to my care. She sees me not a PA or NP, though the center has good ones, but her schedule is full and she still takes the time, is intelligent in her holistic approach and I hope she never leaves the Cape. We need more doctors like her."
"It has been my experience that practice does not care about their patients. My first experience is I had to wait for a new Doctor who was joining the practice. My first appointment was rushed and superficial. After my second appointment I received a note that this new doctor was leaving the practice. Why is he still listed as being part of the Strawberry Hill Primary care practice? I was referred to another physician within the practice. I don’t recall the amount of time I had to wait for this appointment but it had to be about 6 months. This appointment was a telemedicine appointment. How does a new physician evaluate a new patient in a 15 minute phone call? To top it off my 8:30am appointment was cancelled at 8:20 am the morning of the appointment. I do not recommend this practice"
"Considering how difficult it must be to work anywhere in the medical field these days (with all the insurance hoops to jump through, the short staffing, the COVID craziness, not to mention the sick people who are out of patience) I think everyone of the staff here from the Doctors and Nursing staff to the front desk and the persons directing phonecalls has provided me with exceptional service each and every time I have needed them. The job can't be easy, give them a break and some patience and you might find they are very much providing you the care you need."
"Cape Cod Medical Affiliates seems incapable of providing an annual physical for it's patients (insurance billing numbers really). Allegedly I had a "physical" yesterday. I spent less than 15 minutes with the doctor. I was able to express my concern for about a third of the issues that were troubling me. I am disabled and have many bad consequences of the injury that caused my disability. After I left the office I realized that I hadn't had a physical. I had an insurance billing event. Weight is a basic part of a physical. I called the practice this morning to ask about my physical. I asked what my weight was. The practice manager told me 154. The problem is that I never had my weight taken yesterday. I weighed 154 pounds at my last "physical". I've weighed around 154 pounds for years. I now weigh 147 and have been trying to regain weight with little success.Weight loss is one of my concerns,, but I didn't have the time during my "physical" to get into it. The office manager was adamant that I was wrong. She insisted that I must have weighed 154 pounds with clothes on. Did the nurse or doctor guess my weight yesterday, the same way you can have your weight guessed at a carnival? The practice manager also told me that I had a 45 minute appt with the doctor. I spent less than 15 minutes with the doctor. This was not a physical. It was an insurance billing event. I would call this practice Third World medicine, but that would be an insult to Third World medicine. Even in the Third World medical records reflect accurate information. This practice is a parody of medical care. I don't blame the doctor. He seems to be doing his best in a insurance billing business that poses as a doctors office. Since Emerald Physicians was sold to Cape Cod Healthcare the quality of service there has plummeted. Now it has reached the point that they are entering false information in medical records......and probably, definitely, billing an insurance company for getting that information. Can anyone recommend a doctor's practice on Cape that actually does physicals? Some place that might check your weight, reflexes, other simple and basic things.that one would expect from an annual physical. Some place that reviews the irregular results from blood work Some place that actually puts accurate information in your medical history? I know it's asking a lot.....I must just have unreasonable expectations from my primary care physician's office."
"Should be getting zero stars. Misdiagnosed a condition I had, eronious appointments confirmed that didn't exist, blood draw appointments scheduled then not honored, no compassion by any of the staff. Just typical of most Cape Cod Healthcare offices. Ridiculous. UPDATE - To the reply below. See above. Read my file. You had multiple chances already to address these issues. You blew it. See the trend here in the reviews? You are reactive. My wife has a longer list of issues than I do AND SHES AN RN! This office did everything they could to stall her care. Dr. Holland and her group shouldn't be in healthcare."
