"this place is pathetic. kathleen j is the only receptionist for behavioral health. i called over 20 times, begging for an appointment so i could see the psychiatrist. no call back nothing.. from the intake (or whatever fancy name they use for the at first it was 1 to 3 appointments. 2 days ago its 4 appointments you have to have with behavioral health before seeing psych. i got a call fromsomeone there on may 24th. my first appt with terri betts was april 11th. where is everyone? this girl made an appt with psych doctor for me. i thought she was doing me a favor becuz ive been so emotional with my daughters breast cancer diagnosis and my med will be out june 1.. 2 weeks to the day later this woman kathleen calls me and scolds me for not following procedure and not doing the steps i was told to do. she actually (i didnt know this until i processed later.) said the words, i'm glad i caught it. you are not supposed to see psych until you follow the steps. it went on and on. i begged to believe me because it seems she was telling me i cheating. i told her i followed the steps. the conversation went in a circle and it stayed in a circle for a week. they dont communicate. someonw else made an appt for me and yet again it was cancel. theres one therapist and i have to go to tuesdays to the bc office!! if i told you how many times i said the days i was available you'd be shocked. i told her i was afraid about my meds and that im highly emotional because of my daughter. she said. well i don't know about the meds. maybe call your old doctor but im trying to help you here and you need to know you have to have an appt with .... same thing. im still stunned. i emailed terri betts voicing my concern and anger. the steps i KNEW I NEEDED TO TAKE I WROTE IN AN EMAIL!! i begged this woman, that woman and the manager anitra leonard for help. i was calling and calling and noone cared. they continued to say tuesdays. as i looked at my phone log i realized. OMG from april 11 on it was the receptionist kathleeen at behavioral health that i left messages to. she had the absolute nerve the day she called to cancel the first psych appt. like she was doing me a favor. i said, YOU ARE THE KATHLEEN IVE BEEN LEAVING MESSAGES FOR. YOU DROPPED THE BALL AND WASTED 2 WEEKS OF MY TIME ! TIME I NEEDED TO TRY TO GET AN APPT AND YOU CALL ME AND BLAME ME FOR SKIPPING THE STEPS! She actually slowly like i'm 12 said, "so youre available wednesday afternoon?" I asked her if she got my messages!!!! i said loudly over the constant repeating of her conversations that are NOT getting me an appointment, "DID YOU GET MY MESSAGES KATHLEEN? IT WAS YOU ALL ALONG THAT IVE BEEN CALLED. YOU BLAMED ME ALL THIS TIME. the next few times i asked that question, and it was strange for me to be so assertive, but she treated me worse than any other health center, or doctors office that i can remember and im 55. the reason i asked the question i think 3 times is because of her odd response.. as im speaking, picture this... she interupts and talks extra slow to make me feel worse about myself yet again and she says, so youre available wednesday afternoons... she added something funny by saying, dont you remember the other day when you were grateful? i was desperate and shes the only one?.. even that night she said she'd call me tomorrow.. why no appt? why? ok the next morning i call and call. i talk to the manager anitra leonard who says my psych appt is still in there. its still on she says. she sounded honest. she said shed get back to me. ive left 6 voice messages. nothing. back to kathleen, after she said remember you were grateful? i asked her why she had to call and say she was doing me a favor by cancelling the psych doctor because i am not following the steps and i would not have been seen. it was your fault. why couldn't you say sorry i made a mistake. i could have dealt with that. she was rude and belittling and she made it very clear if i did not have good manners, i would never be able to see the wizard (my word). horrible"
