"So thankful for him removing my endometriosis and believing in me he is the best doctor and makes you feel so comfortable"
"September 2021 I met with Dr. Laufer over video chat as my OBGYN from another healthcare facility said I needed laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and recommended Dr Laufer as I also had a uterus/vaginal anomaly in which he specialized in. Within 5 minutes of the call he said yup yup we will book the surgery very quick very ubrupt never meeting me in person. Things happened very fast and I was booked for surgery in November for a laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and a tissue removal for my vaginal canal to remove a septum causing me pain. I cant express how terrible of a bed side manner this doctor had. The day of my procedure I had ear piercings in my ear which I removed all but one. I put plastic in my nose. I worked at this very hospital i arrived at 9am. Surgery booked for 10am. They pushed my surgery back till 5pm (not even telling me) Once I finally got brought around this man had the audacity to say he will not preform surgery on me because the plastic piercings in my nose and the one piercing in my ear. I teared up and he asked me why am I crying! A wonderful nurse helped and took the earrings out for me something I couldn’t do myself. She said he does this to many of his patients. Surgery happened and I was painfully mistaken when I thought I was getting excision, it was ablation. He refused to do a Pap smear under anesthesia for me as it’s very difficult to do a Pap smear with my body’s anatomy. It was fighting tooth and nail to get him to write me a note so I wouldn’t have to lift anything heavy at work. He said I could go back to work three days following my procedure, which I did. He did not write me a note (he full well knew I worked at BWH and had to lift patients and work with heavy equipment). Exactly 7 days passed and I was at work with said patient when I was rushed to the ER and began hemorrhaging with a 500CC clot. My sutures ruptured and I needed emergency surgery within 30 min of my arrival. One week after surgery he placed me on a progesterone pill causing me severe weight gain ontop of all the pain and swelling surgery caused me. I had more pain that I came in with. Two years have now passed and my endometriosis is worse than what it was. Thanks a lot Dr Laufer. I will never recommend you. You have traumatized me"
"We had an urgent appointment scheduled for my 2year old in Weymouth location. We live far in the north and that was Friday afternoon so we got into a terrible traffic. So as we were running a bit late, I called the office ahead of time saying that we’re on our way, they replied they gave us 15 min. In 15 min we got to the hospital. First they said we never called them, then they made us wait there for an hour and then just kicked us out saying that because we got 15 min late he wouldn’t be able to see us.Our 2 y.o. was in pain, we begged this man to check on her, we spent 5 hours in total, but he was so rude and said he would not going to do anything. And he just left. Can you imagine that ?! He refused to see the patient! He just didn’t do his job! This is the worst experience ever. But you know, having read all the reviews, I’m really glad he never checked on my daughter.Besides acting so rude and unprofessional, he seems to really not knowing what he does.Neverever"
"I was a patient of his and did a laparoscopy with him about 2.5 years ago. He missed a lot of my endometriosis & had pretty poor bedside manner. Would recommend looking at other doctors. Get someone who does excision instead of ablation. Hope this helps."
"I have never reviewed a doctor. I would like to do this to hopefully help another women. I saw Dr. Laufer at children’s then followed him to B&W. At first he seems amazing because he believes you. He seems to want to help. But after MULTIPLE surgeries and offers of Lupron and other medicine I didn’t agree with I started researching. He doesn’t do Excision surgery.... he uses ablation. DONT GET ABLATION. Excision is the gold standard and very few doctors do it. Laufer is a con and treats you like an experiment not a person. Go to Mt. Auburn see Dr. McKenzie or Dr. Chatburn. Get on Nancy’s nook and educate yourself. Advocate yourself and don’t let this man trick you into thinking he’s the best around. HES NOT."
