"Practices informed consent care in a meaningful way, which I find is so often not the case. Dr. Enegess was kind, compassionate, and transparent, fairly presenting alternatives and options, risks, and benefits. I felt she was present and mindful, patient-centric in a provider-centric culture that too often prioritizes the facility's needs over the patients'. I was proactively offered the opportunity to meet and greet Dr. Enegress fully clothed first, to discuss the options, risks, and benefits etc. I didn't feel hurried through the discussion, never felt that options or risks were being hidden to push me in a certain direction. And even the simple change in the dynamic of keeping my clothes on, so you don't feel a power imbalance and that things have "already started" before you get your questions answered made a difference to how I felt when it came to having the discussion. Yeah, it means the provider has to step out for 2 min while you get undressed afterwards, but it's 2 minutes that can help build trust. I would recommend Dr. Enegess to anyone seeking gyn care."
