"The rooms are clean and comfortable. The service at the front desk was excellent, Beth was helpful in sorting out our reservation and very welcoming! The breakfast was hot and tasty, there was a woman who was very attentive to refilling the food."
"My husband travels for work and stayed with this hotel for months. We had a couple issues with billing , but Beth the manager always found the problem and fixed it. Beth was polite, helpful, and took time to explain things. I want to make it clear that if Beth answered the phone today I am certain I would have been treated with respect. Today I had another billing concern, I called and reached Jessica (a “manager”) she was rude, hostile, made me feel stupid, she was belittling, she got frustrated IMMEDIATELY, she made me feel like an inconvenience, she raised her voice, she proceeded to yell at me and finally hung up on me for having questions. I work in customer service, I understand everyone has bad days….. but I should not be yelled at for inquiring about our money. I’m sure if it were her money she would want an understanding as well. My husband will NOT be returning to this hotel to finish out his months in Maine. Jessica is the worst “manager” I have ever dealt with. Completely unprofessional. Had we not had previous unwarranted charges, I would not have had to make this phone call anyways."
"Comfy beds, and a free breakfast that's got a far better selection than the typical single-serving cereal and stale donuts you get at most places. There are many amenities we did not have a chance to explore, and the place is pet-friendly. The room was clean, the stay was pleasant; I recommend it without hesitation. My only small issue was that the shower should have been hotter."
"We got there at midnight and there was a gentleman at the front desk who got visibly annoyed just by us showing up. No ‘hi’ no ‘welcome to comfort inn’ just ‘may I help you?’. I saw the price on Expedia of $179 but wanted to check if it’s any lower on site. The annoyed gentleman told me that the price per night is $260 and I told him that I’m going to book a room on Expedia. I quickly pulled out my phone and opened the app, it showed me that they just got booked out, what a coincidence huh? I went to Booking and booked a room for $199 and informed the annoyed gentleman. He looked at his monitor smirked and said ‘basically the same rate as I said’. How is $199 the same as $260? If only I hadn’t been exhausted by a long ride I would walked away from this place immediately. On top of that our whole floor smelled like weed on the first night. I’m not writing this review on emotions, so there were some cons like the room was clean and breakfast had some healthy options but how would the clients know about that if they run from the unfriendly staff and weed smell in the first place"
"Do not stay here!!! If I could give a negative 10 stars, I would. We have stayed here many times over the years and liked it. Not anymore! It’s now a dump. We were given a room on the 3rd floor that reeked of cigarette smoke. The entire 3rd floor smelled of garbage which appeared to come from a big black garbage bag left in the ice/vending machine cubby across from the elevator. (See pic) I returned to the front desk, where the attendant argued with me. He said that he didn’t smoke and didn’t clean the rooms or halls. Eventually he took us to an acceptable room on the 2nd floor. But the hallway had big stains that smelled! (See pic) The pool area was “closed for renovation” but when booking the hotel, no notice was given about the pool being closed. The elevator was dirty and we were told if we wanted a first floor room we wouldn’t have a working TV until tomorrow. (We had a one-night booking!) We had noticed a decline in the facility over the last several years. We put up with it because the location and breakfasts were good. But disgusting garbage smells, carpet stains and smells and smoking-fest rooms were too much to ignore. Do not stay here!"
