"My family stayed here for the first time in August 2023. I have to say it reminded me of the quiet peaceful resorts of Adirondack resorts of my youth. They no longer exist but I am glad that places like Poland Springs Resort exists. I am so excited to be booked already for 2024. I like the charm, the history and its location. Hopefully, Iβll be back got many more years and continue this new tradition with my children and grandchildren."
"The people were great. The lobby was rustic. The room was clean but reminded me of a cheap no-tell motel. Bathroom was bare minimum. Vanity and shower were chincy. The faucet wasn't long enough that you couldn't even fit your hands under it to wash. Good people, but the place needs to be upgraded. A lot !"
"Had a great stay at the Lodge! Rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The golf course was great and the greens were in perfect condition. GM Mark and the owner Cyndi were incredibly hospitable, and were always available for questions and recommendations in the area. Wonderful place to stay if you enjoy history."
"We checked in and found our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are very clean and manicured. Some of the structure needs paint and has been left unattended. The hotel is very dated, no modernization has been made other than WiFi since what appears the late 70's. The rooms have thin wooden doors and old deadbolts. The scoring of the deadbolts shows the decades of keys that have been used to open the door. Once in the room, we found a clean room with again dated furnishings. I sat on the sofa and discussed with my wife the room as well as the possibility of getting a decent nights rest. We looked at the bed, a king size mattress neatly made with linens from what looked out of my grand mothers home. We noticed the curves in the mattress and decided they had not been replaced since the deadbolts were installed. At that point we decided we quietly checked out and when asked why politely told the desk attendant the room wasn't up to our standards."
"A great experience overall. Great buffets at excellent prices. We stayed in the presidential inn - room was right off the front door and a little noisy with other guest traffic. Nice historic property in a scenic location."
